Pretty decent match, but both guys have done better. Of course, this is Chikara 2004, so it's kind of the dark ages before anyone really knew about them.

Does CHIKARA turn a profit nowadays? I know ROH does, so I would, in many ways, consider them more successful than TNA.
At least WWE respects ROH.

At least WWE respects ROH. chikara turns a pretty nice profit nowadays. this was back in the year 2004 when the promotion was only 2 years old... yet somehow they had some nice events if you don't mind dead crowds as to who to watch for, hallowicked, jigsaw, eddie kingston, sweeney, and quackenbush.

Jigsaw, Kingston, Sweeney, Ultramantis Black, Quackenbush, "Don't Call Him Canadian Dynamite" Max Boyer, Fire Ant, Hallowicked, Crossbones... who else?

I'm not sure if I'd throw Chuck Taylor in the tops, but he is getting up there... Yeah, I'd say F.I.S.T. is my favorite tag team in CHIKARA. They don't have the charisma of 2.0, but then again...what tag team (besides 2.0 of course) does? I'd say I prefer Akuma's style over that of Icarus, but they're both really good.

That's where humanity goes to die.

And if you stand there too long, he'll knock the wind out of you with his tree-like leg kicks, and follow up with a Yoshi Tonic to plant you down on the mat and knock you unconscious. Alright, random question, from CHIKARA or not: Is there a video of a one-on-one match between Kudo and Akuma? I've wondered what it's like, with both men being kicking machines.

Not that I know of, but I know on Daily Motion, our own Invader Dave posted a King of Trios match between the Kings of Wrestling(F.I.S.T and Chuck Taylor) vs. Yago, MIYAWAKI, and KUDO. So it's out there somewhere.

Though I must admit, that match, and the other KOT ones, are purely awesome. And, for the sake of it, here's a golden Crossbones Promo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaCg70cncAc&NR=1

If the general badassery of Crossbones exhibited in the promo wasn't enough, the "Captain America" line sealed the deal.

Speaking of Chikara, here's a peek at the new gear worn by the official technicos, Los Ice Creams: Hope that shows up.
