Right now Raw is lacking a big-time main event heel not named Randy Orton. Do you see Jericho inserting himself into the Orton/Cena program trying to get revenge for his "firing" a few years ago?

Wouldn't be a good idea. He should turn heel after being back for a little while. Having him start off heel right off the bat would make it near impossible for his face opponent to get much in the way of face pops.
Of course that would work okay if he was paired up with Cena early, since it's almost a running gimmick for the crowd to be divided in Cena matches. That would require Jericho going over Cena though, and I'm not sure that WWE is ready for that.

I hate Tweeners. They are in limbo. And that is never a very good place to be. They need to be sure of their characters and get the crowd to really notice and react to them.
Y2J could do a Triple H kind of baby face, where he comes out and gets a pop cos he is who he is then kind of tells some funny stuff but not his best. That is what might happen.
OR he could reivent himself as this saveus.222 thing and become uber intertz coolz!

I'd be fine with this. I want someone to be wiling to stand against Cena, stand up up against HHH (I'm a huge HHH fan so it'll be fun all around for me) and still be willing to tell Orton that he's one Legend that won't be getting killed by him. This is of course playing along with the thought Jericho at some point DOES come back. It's fun to get our hopes up and all but let's play this with a cautious card.

I definately see him being a heel. The fact that these promos are saying "save us" kind of tells me the '99 Jericho will be making a return, where he'll act all cocky again. A babyface run will be right around the corner though.

It is not possible to bring him back as a heel. You could turn him later, but right off the fans will not allow him to be a heel

chris jericho is only coming to raw tonight to promote his book. if you look at his schedule he has no time to wrestle for the wwe.

No, Jericho is coming next week. Instead, we get lepracauns and Triple H burying somebody tonight....which some people will defend. I pity them.
Actually, I don't.
As for Jericho, he would be a PERFECT douchebag heel, because he's a master at that persona. Really, one of the few wrestlers I've seen in person where grown men openly DESPISED him and wanted to hurt him.
Its Money.

Jericho as a heel has been largely outdone IMO, but then again I always preferred him as a babyface in 2000-2001.

What to do with him if he's a babyface....................how many heels on RAW anyway besides Orton? It'll be another body of guys fighting for no reason, blah blah...come on. Jericho is a great heel....no, a GREAT heel...that's missing from RAW. McMahon's heel persona has been overplayed or deflated (your choice of perspective) and Orton is of the assassin-mode. Jericho is the douchebag who won't shut up, a real chicken s***....basically the Edge of RAW. Who knows, if WWE book their cards right*, he could be the heel that help make Cena be more than the hated Superman in the eyes of Smarks. Jericho might be the guy to make Cena a bigger star. *=Doubtful

No way. he'll be a face, whether they want him to be or not. people are hyped for his return and he really can't be a heel-at first anyway

No way. he'll be a face, whether they want him to be or not. people are hyped for his return and he really can't be a heel-at first anyway agreed The problem is that everybody he could logically feud with is also a face. So he'll end up beating down unimportant mid-card heels he's never fought before, then turn heel and get fed to Cena and/or HHH.
