I love how for some reason I decided to pre-buy the game from EB Games..about three weeks ago.
For some reason I could bitch about how much I'm going to dislike the game..but I'm probably not..season mode doesn't matter much to me..I'll play it through once then I'll probably kick around in GM Mode for a while..then I'll just have random exhibition matches and play around with the CAW option..thats about it.
So, it looks to be good enough for me.
Don't get me wrong, I would appreciate a deeper gaming experience but it looks as if I'm not going to get one anytime soon.

If you know that you are looking for something deeper, but have resigned yourself to it not being better...why buy it on opening day? That makes no sense to me. It's not like you can't get the deposit back for it, you're not locked in to get that game. If you have doubts that it won't be anything better than great, why spend $60 for the game that might not live up to your expectations? Why not rent it for a few weeks, get one of those monthly passes from a rental place, or get a Gamefly account, and try it out first. That's what I did with '07, and it saved me a good chunk of change in the long run, since I returned the game after 3 months, since I got very bored with it, and rarely picked it up after a month. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to say that this is something you should do, I'd like to just suggest that there may be another way. But this is half of the problem of why THQ seems to think the series is doing fine. There are a huge chunk of people, I believe, that have resigned themselves to the idea that the game's not going to get better, and buy it because there isn't anything else out there. I would like to try to understand the mentality of people who are on the fence about the SDvR series.

The only thing is that I really enjoy having a wrestling game to play..I've been buying some kind of wrestling game once-a-year since I've had a system. I like having an "up-to-date" WWE game to play every year (the term up-to-date is used losely). I don't know, I can't really explain it. Maybe I'm what's wrong with the decline of the game..the guy who buys it every year regardless of the game content. I just enjoy playing a WWE game. Wow, I'm terrible at explaining things.

I hear they may be a possibility that you'll be able to download wrestlers?
If so, this game may be pretty damn good.

I really can't see you being able to d/l wrestlers.
That would be insane. You'd download the character model, entrance music, new entrance moves, new movesets, new attires..it just wouldn't work.

Personally, I don't get why they would do something like that. Splitting up exclusive content doesn't make sense when all three systems have exclusives that are components the game should have had by now.

THQ making sense is like Metal Gear Solid making sense past the first 10 minutes of Sons of Liberty. It ain't gonna happen.

DLC for the PS3 hasn't even been officially confirmed though. Yeah but we like to feel it might as well be,because it's Sony, and Ledesma blows Sony yearly every time a new SvR comes out (last year the online play for 360 was butchered compared to the PS2)
