He's working us. That's my theory on it. Total work, Lance Storm has asked Jericho about it and Jericho told him to keep quiet about it but confirmed its him. Way to spoil everything Lance ;D

Here's an interesting read from Newsday.com www.newsday.com/features/booksmags/ny-lijeri305438298oct30,0,381849.story It could be possible. You know the WWE likes to advertise big things on Smackdown! in advance to gain ratings. Plus they're in Long Island, Jericho's secondary hometown so you know the pop would be absolutely enormous. You know, that would be awesome, but come on. They know that Smackdown spoilers do get out. Do you know how much overtime Bob Holly would have to put in in order to keep that quiet?

I wouldn't be surprised if he did debut on SmackDown!, it could do a big service to the show's ratings and could help get the word out to casual fans who may decide to tune in.

has anyone researched to see if the music played during the vids is perhaps a FOZZY riff?

I think it is humorous to see how the vignette originally brought most of us crappers together in intrigue over what it was about, and now, it seems like a bunch of people have taken a strict pro or con side and is simply trying to argue their point by bashing the other group.
Come on guys and gals, relax a bit. Bottom line is that it is on our tvs right now. Whether we like or dislike the concept isn't going to change the 'E's decision to air the vignettes. No sense in arguing over it all... If ya like it, cool, be excited. If ya don't, cool, don't be.

In the case of SD spoilers, I'd say it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing (tm DDP).
If you read SD spoilers saying Jericho returned, wouldn't you watch? People that normally don't watch SD would tune in for that.

has anyone researched to see if the music played during the vids is perhaps a FOZZY riff? Interesting you would mention that... in the video where alot of the stuff looked it was from the opening of the old show WWF LiveWire! there is a FOZZY song playing in the background... it's title? Livewire... the plot thickens

The 19th is the Monday after Survivor Series. You'd think if Jericho would return, he'd do it at the PPV and not the night after. Not really. If you want Jericho to return at a PPV you would hype it to get more buys. That is wasting money if you try a surprise like that.

There is absolutely no way they'd have Chris Jericho return on SmackDown. If the show was promoted as being more than a 'B' brand, then there would be more of a chance.
Jericho is probably the biggest free agent in the business, right now. They can't put him on a show that is lower than Raw.

i can assure you alot of people where not too happy about that newsday report claiming jericho's return which shockingly he did'nt. I usually take all INTRAWEBZ NEWZ sites info with a grain of salt, however there may be some validity to the reports that Jericho was supposed to have already debuted however once WWE found out the story of him being SAVE_US.222 leaked, they pushed the return back. This makes sense for several reasons- - If everyone knows Jericho is debuting on a particular day, the element of "shock and surprise" it appears the SAVE_US campaign was designed to create dissapears.
- Continually holding him back may piss some smarks off, but if you recall in wrestling, some of the best debuts, feuds, etc. were the ones that were built up the longest. As RD said in Death of WCW, WCW had fans "salivating like Pavlov's dogs" to see Sting vs. Hogan at Starrcade 97'.
Same with SAVE_US. Even if you say "oh, I'm just getting sick of it anyway", the second Jericho comes back to Raw, you will mark the smurf out like a schoolgirl. Don't lie, you will.
- Since it's now pretty much confirmed who SAVE_US is, the only thing left in suspense is when he will appear on WWE TV. See where I'm going here? If you don't know when Jericho is coming back - guess what? You have to watch Raw every single week.
I know some of you don't care, but the majority of us (me included) would feel like a pretty big d-bag if the one time we said "eh, nothing will happen on Raw so I'll just watch something else" and Jericho made a huge return.
This is only a partial list, but those are the ones I thought were most pertinent. To be honest, I don't know if I would have liked Jericho's return as much if the SAVE_US videos ran and were only mentioned once on Raw by JR and King and all of a sudden he just shows up. I actually like what they're doing in previously the SAVE_US video would appear once on Raw and have no mention. This past week it appeared twice. What I'm hoping for is there will be a continual increase in the number of SAVE_US promos and it will be acknowledged on screen as more and more speculation is built up. Then, Jericho returns following one of the promos. Many of you smarks are pampered in that after readin TEH NEWZ sites you know everything that's going to happen on a show anyway. Spoilers, backstage rumors, etc. The beauty of SAVE_US is that none of us really have any idea when the payoff will be and while I can see that frustrates some of you, it's brilliant marketing by WWE. They are essentially telling us "you need and want to see the payoff for this and we aren't telling you when it is so you will just have to keep watching our shows every week until we pay it off". And they're 100% right.

Are we that ruined that promos that have run for 5 weeks are now boring and we need the payoff NOW!? Let it play out. Like I said, this guy couldn't be more right in his post.
