Thats weird. I heard reports that he had been working out lately and was looking at a return to a wrestling ring in the near future. The initial plan would be to have him feud with The Great Khali, and then move to Raw and go against Cena for the title.

Really? Everything I hear says he's out forever. I would mark for him coming back though, he's one of my all time favourites.

Big Show would be a great opponent for Valuev. Valuev's strong point is his size and strength. Big Show is about the same height and has a weight advantage.
Against Wight, Valuev would need to rely on his boxing skills and he might outbox Wight who is still a beginner. But it would be an interesting match anyway.

Yeah just stay out of all rings paul. Starting this late in life = getting killed by nobodys. His size just means he will take more punishment before being beaten.

So, has anyone heard more about this? Has any footage of Paul boxing turned up anywhere?

Could he even be cleared to box seeing as one hand is a skillet and the other is a bowling ball?

I can see him working out as a new Butterbean. You know, King of the 4-Rounder and all.
I watched The Best of Butterbean Volume 2 awhile back (Yes, really--search through my posts for a bit more on that), and the book on Butterbean was "Knows his limits [READ: More than 4 rounds and he's in trouble], is happy to stay within them, and can look good when you throw the right opponents at him [READ: Can beat jobbers, meaning he has at least SOME skill, but probably loses to even a semi-serious opponent]".
Alternately, it is possible he's just doing it as a training thing, although my understanding is that actual, serious boxers tend to look down on "white guys who think they can box". On the other hand, I'm not about to be the one to tell that to Paul Wight.

I'm not great at advanced science/physics so help me out hear, but with his height/strength/leverage etc could he actually "launch" some one with an uppercut to the body?

Wasn't Show quite good at basketball before he entered WCW? No wonder Batista didn't make it out of the Power Plant.

The thing is, is that everyone keeps bringing up "weight division", but the thing is, is that once you're at a certain weight, you're just classified as a heavyweight, or a super-heavyweight, which 'Show would be.
Also, not all power fighters use a reach advantage. Often times, reach advantages are used by guys who stay on the outside to avoid the power fighter. Even if big Show sucks at boxing, the thing that will make it difficult to beat him is that it will be difficult for you to do to him what you need to do in order to win. It will be hard to put your shoulder and your body into your punches when the guy's chin is above your head.

(Khali's about as built as you can be and is still over 400).. Haha Khali aint built the guy just at too many carbs and worked out in one place his chest the rest of him is giantism. Ummm you do know that he was a former Mr. India as a bodybuilder don't you? The man is still huge muscle wise but at one time he was mega huge muscle wise. I could be wrong but he is probably not as big as he once was because he more than likely does not train as much.

This is so old and I'm pretty sure Big Show himself debunked this.
