I was thinking, who on the roster would fit the bill? The question isn't who could you never hate/like but who could a crowd never boo/cheer.
For example Hulk hogan, with that wrestlemania match being the prime example, and RVD when he came from ECW.

Mysterio.
Nobody would take him seriously as a heel.

Could never be heel: Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio
Could never be face: Randy Orton

If we're talking about who couldnt be cheered/booed right now, i'll say....
Orton cant be a face. He just looks like the cocky, arrogant, jerk athlete that everyone knew in high school. There are several reasons that his face turn bombed, thats the biggest IMO
I think the closest to someone who couldnt be a heel is Undertaker. I'm sad that we'll never see Big Evil again, that was easily my favorite version of the Undertaker. But hes been around so long and been a face for most of his career, fans respect him. Although i think it'd be interesting if they tried turning him heel in a feud with Cena. Surely women and kids would boo him then.

I don't think Edge could become face again.
His last face run wasn't great and he's just too damn good as a heel.

If that matchup ever happened, with Taker being heel, I think there'd be a reaction similar to Rock vs. Hogan from WM 18. Rock was supposed to be the good guy, but Hogan was just too loved. With that said, the reaction would probably be even greater because I think Taker is more respected than Hogan, by peers and fans alike. As for others, Rey and Jeff Hardy would never be convincing enough to boo. I can't see it.

Cena/Taker has happened quite a few times already over the years, so it wouldn't really be anything epic.

Yeah, Hogan has never once worked as a heel!
It's not like he made arguably the most important heel turn in wrestling history, or anything. He wasn't one of the most over heels ever, or anything. Yeah that never happened...

I think Undertaker has one last heel run in him if he's planning on sticking around for a couple more years, actually. It would probably like HBK's turn in 2005, where he turns heel to have an epic feud with somebody (I'm thinking Cena), then goes back face.

Yeah that never happened... Hogan was obviously a great heel in WCW/nWo but when he came back to the WWE he lost of lot of his heel heat and couldn't keep it going through the Rock feud. For him to be accepted as a heel by most fans now, they'd have to show him knocking Superstar Billy Grahm out of a wheel chair with the big boot and giving the Leg Drop and I'm not even sure that would do it unless they followed up with video of urinating on Andre's grave.

I can't really see Lashley as a heel. He doesn't have the mic skills to be a heel

Neither Paul London nor Brian Kendrick could be heels. I dunno, I think we could see a break out rockers style fued between them eventually with one of them... probably Paul because Spanky is such a baby face... turning heel, we just need a barber shop window and Ed Leslie.

At the time I thought they were incredibly stupid. Bringing Hulk Hogan back to the WWF after being gone almost a decade, they actually expected him NOT to get a hero's welcome?
