To light stuff on fire you need to have the Hardcore fighting style (don't think it matters which one of the 2 styles it is), you then need a stored icon and a full momentum bar, then walk up to a table or be holding a barbed wire bat, press triangle (on PS3, probably the same button on the 360 controller, the top one of the 4) and BOOM, FIRE!! I'm pretty sure that you don't need Hardcore as a fighting style, but it has to be an ECW extreme rules match. And yes, it's the top button on 360 as well.

Looking at the 360 videos online, I have a question for owners of the 360 version of this game. Is Sabu taped-up in that version? 'Cause on PS2 his arms are bare and it looks dumb without his armband with his name scribbled on it and his fists taped.
Also, does anybody know if the "Bash-leg-into-ringpost" hot-spot from last year is still in the game?

My nephew bought the game the day it came out, so I'm playing it occasionall. But it might be the first SD! game I won't be buying, at least not anytime soon. Yesterday I was in an Elimination Camber with my Owen Hart CAW and after a while he just stopped moving. I could counter attacks but not move at all. It also appears that CAW mode is getting worse each year. Rick Rude, Sabu and Terry Funk alone aren't worth spending € 50 on a game inferior to ones I already own. I don't think I'm going to buy it either. I have a PS2 and after last year it seemed to me they were focusing their attention on PS3 and Xbox. The poor caw system really turned me off. What's wrong with this years?

after last year it seemed to me they were focusing their attention on PS3 and Xbox. Which, in the year 2007, is exactly what they should be doing, as the PS2 shouldn't be dragging game development down any more after what, seven or eight years on the market? This isn't meant to be a knock at the quality of PS2's games, but multiformat games have been suffering from being primarily developed for the PS2 for several years. Even now, the latest Smackdown vs. RAW game still looks and feels like it was designed for the PS2 and ported on the newer systems without many improvements. I wish they'd ditch the PS2 version and just develop an all-new "next-gen" game engine for the next SVR. Of course, they could still update the rosters for the previous game, add some stuff and then release it on the PS2/PSP while developing those completely new SVR games for the more powerful systems, which is basically what EA did with NHL, Madden and their other sports titles back in 1996-97 when moving from 16-bit systems to 32-bit ones.

I love people ripping this game a new one and then in the next sentence saying something abysmally retarded like how do I get back in the ring once I have gotten out... it's not the game that's made of FAIL, it's you mate.

This is the first time ever, that I'm not excited about playing the new Smackdown game. I'll wait on this one, it just doesn't impress me much. The PS3 version not having music capabilities just angers me. Benjamin not being on the game angers me. Stupid hair animations anger me. I will probablly just stick to the glitchy SVR '07 or try to find Fire Pro Returns.

The PS3 version not having music capabilities just angers me. but you PS3 owners get the EXCLUSIVE first person mode for the entrances!! Nice crappy feature for a nice crappy system. The game is no where near as bad as people make it. The achievement glitches are the worst for me. Sometimes it takes several times of doing what is required to get an achievement to kick in for you, but oh well. But nothing beats being able to put Enter Sandman, Man in the Box, the actual good version of Rey Mysterio's music, The King of Kings and all into the game and still being able to hear the crowd and announcements. My friends and I have a joke about the company that makes the series. They want you to have fun, but not TOO much fun. That's why they intentionally leave in little stuff to piss you off, cause if they fixed them, you'd be having TOO much fun.

Yeah, has anyone actually seen that 1st Person stuff in action? I'm kinda curious how that works. And if anyone has a Tubed video of it, that'd be even better. EDIT: Here it is. Color me underwhelmed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwYh4ThSnUENow, if you had matches in first person, that'd be a whole different story. Although I think Kennedy's entrance in 1st person would be the winner.

So, top rope moves. Has it gotten worse, or can I actually hit some for a decent ratio this year?

Because it would be pretty dumb to only have first-person at certain points in the entrance.

I won't even go into the badly done camera work.

I bought the PS2 Version because I was allowed to be in that area of Wal-Mart for TOO long (On the plus side I also picked up Trials and Tribulations for my DS).
So here comes by big question... Is the PS2 version possessing a GUTTED roster (I want Santino Marella)? And WTF!? I can't have CM Punk or Elijah in 24/7 mode? They're some of the best talkers you have!
