It's going to be awkward when they do call Sydal up. He looks a LOT like Cody. eh he could be a "cousin" but they should tag team and be a "model" tandem Not a bad idea, honestly. Sydal would have to adjust his style somewhat, and Cody would have to grow a bit of charisma, but it could work.

That's weird. I figured Sydal would contend for the TV title first. He is a hell of a worker, though. I just wonder what happened to Atlas DaBone. Sydal's push came out of nowhere. It could very well be that both Atlas and Kruel got the call up, which if it is the case, what's going to happen to Roucka? I'll be at the house show in Cincinnati this weekend, so I'll see if anything is different. Let ya know.

I'm glad others here have ranted on OVW's bizarre booking practices. They spent a few months building this Cabana/Spears thing with Colt coming close a bunch of times, then out of the blue Trailer McNaler wins the TV belt from Spears (which was a horrible move). Now this DaBone push would seem to lead to him beating Kruel for the belt, but then Sydal beats Kruel with zero hype or build. Mind you in this case I don't think it's that bad since Sydal is about 10x the worker Atlas DaBone is, but it's still odd booking. The basic jist of the McNailer thing was that Colt had exhausted his title opportunities as number 1 contender due to Spears' cheating ways (he got DQed, countout, and cheated to win). So when Al Snow was telling him he was going to face Colt again, Spear told him of the "rule book" and said he was going to defend the belt against someone else. Out comes Ted McNailer. Colt interferes, costs Spears the belt and we have the McNailer reign. When Spears win the belt back a month or so later, Colt comes to inform Spears that since he is the new champ, the new contender is him due to the recent title changes and then he wins it. That was actually one of the better storylines OVW did this year and it show continuity which is something they aren't good with The fact he lost it so soon, though was pretty pathetic

Names usually get tweaked between OVW and WWE. Atlas DaBone will probably stay that way once he gets his call, because his name is associated so much with his character. However, if you want to talk about stupid, just listen to Colt Cabana's entrance music.
