Correct me if I'm wrong, but was he not promised to show up?
Not that I give a damn about him, but I'm curious.

He was not advertised on TV or their website, so no.

I think there were supposedly conflicts with his book tour. I still held out hope that he'd show up at the end as a major surprise and slap on the sharpshooter on Vince, but oh well.

On the Direct TV preview for Raw it gave a bunch of superstars that were supposed to be on tonights show, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Triple H, and indeed Bret Hart was listed.
So if you count that... then yes, he was. I was really wishing that right as Raw was ending we'd watch Vince walk out of the ring and as he was up the entrance ramp The Hitmans theme song would hit and he'd run right into Bret, causing Vince to fall over.

Bret was asked on Off The Record last week and he said he wouldn't be there.

Bret Hart doesn't have to come back. He had his closure at the HOF ceremony awhile back. It's kinda weird if you think about it though. Of the 15 years RAW was on the air, Bret was only a part of it for under 5 years. The way people still talk about him, you'd think he left a couple of years ago.

And how many of these have we had this week? Bret should be blushing with pride that he's still causing this kind of traffic.

He was listed on my program guide, too. Being that all of these different cable providers had the exact same, word-for-word description for the show, I'm led to believe that it was some sort of official preview, be it from WWE or USA.

Interesting... I'm going to just sit here and blame Triple H instead of actually trying to figure anything out. OMG!!!11 TEH TRIPLE H HEALD OUTT BRET HITMAN HART FROM BEING ON RAW sO he COULD BE SUPERWRESTLERSTAR OF ERA OF ALL TIME!!!11 GAY GYA FAG!

one thing... should we just stickie a Bret Hart thread already? there seem to be multiple Bret Hart threads a week... it seems like it would save time and effort.

If Bret Hart no showed tonight's show, then I guess you could say so did I. So did Kurt Angle. So did Ronald Regan.
He wasn't advertised on WWE.com as a guest. If you read it somewhere, it was either a mistake or just plain LIES.

I doubt WWE advertised Bret's presence on RAW 15th... So I suspect it was a matter of "phishing" by USA Network or by the cable companies or the TV guide...
And Bret's name still draws in a way...

Is it just me or did they not even show one Bret Hart highlight?
