Of course they're well within their right and I'm sure a bunch of people will defend it and play the whatabout game, but I must honestly say the way this company does business with their talent rubs me the wrong way. It's truly pathetic and an embarrassment considering how much money they make and will continue to make for the foreseeable future just by coasting on being the top household name in their industry. Needing talent that will be vaccinated when you tour certain cities/countries and venues is one thing, but a lot of these cuts aren't related to that and are completely unnecessary. You made the decision as a company to over-sign talent, you regretted it, and now it's a mess. I don't think there's any sort of long-term planning or creative vision for 95% of the roster, and that's a low estimate.

Probably better, but I'm not a big fan of writers in wrestling in general. Have a loose outline of where you want a story to begin and end, make adjustments if something or someone starts to get over, and give the wrestlers some key points to focus on in their promos but don't over-script them.

I don't think it needs to be stated why it's a bad look and bad idea for the owner of a company in charge of whether someone remains employed or fired to suggest that an employee do "romantic" skits with him.
There are good and bad sides to Vince McMahon both as a person and a performer that make it easy to see why some wrestlers adore him and some have nothing good to say about him. His cringey old skits with the female wrestlers that were in poor taste even in the time they aired is definitely a point in favor of the latter.

They've gone back and forth on the PG vs. more adult-themed shows through the years, but my big takeaway here is that they want a more physical in-ring style even though one thing they pride themselves on is that their wrestlers work a safer style and are limited with what moves they can do, resulting in less people getting severely injured under their watch than in other companies (which isn't true).

An avid gardener like Bryan should know that the apple isn't the sperm, the seeds inside the apple are the sperm.

I can believe thousands run to the bathroom and concessions during these Alexa and doll segments, but I don't for a second believe they are actually leaving the arena.

Very classy and I'd expect nothing less from him. I do wonder how some in his new company will feel reading that, though. I would hope everyone is mature and see's where he's coming from, and vice versa.
It's important to keep in mind everyone's experience with a company and certain people within a company are going to be different. While I think a lot go too far with the trashing of the place they used to work and where a lot of their friends still work, some do have legitimate gripes, which is why at the end of the day multiple major pro wrestling companies are needed for this industry to be the best possible version of itself. Someone may not be getting a fair shake or may be burned out or feel too restricted in one company, and a change of scenery can do wonders for them.

Meanwhile, the other program featured a young hometown babyface getting the win in the main event and celebrating with his family, before getting beatdown post-match and then saved by the other, more established, hometown babyface as they beat up the heels and sent the crowd home happy.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

He's not a bad promo but instead of doing the He Who Shall Not Be Named parody TK would be better off backing up the Brink's truck to Louisville and bringing in the real thing for actual NUCLEAR heat.

These two have seen some shit: That was their reactions when they learned their WWE "creative" plans were to make Cole a manager and move Bryan to Raw.

I wonder if/when we get a Punk/Bryan match down the road. Just feels natural with Punk saying he left wrestling for 16 years whereas Bryan said he brought wrestling with him wherever he went. I get that sense too, and I'm really not sure having two of your biggest stars feud over whether or not they enjoyed working for WWE is going to do anything but give fodder for WWE defenders who accuse AEW and their wrestlers of being obsessed with WWE. There are better, more creative ways to build to this match.

It wouldn't surprise me, he's another one that doesn't fit the mold or look of the current talent directive. AKA great pro wrestler and great mind but clearly not a bodybuilder.

I'm not sure what to say other than just be happy there's a major American wrestling alternative to WWE that talent can work at, get to be on major national television, and get paid. Also, a lot of Cena critics who either didn't like his ringwork or booking or on screen character in the mid-2000's eventually came around and at least learned to appreciate what he can do and what a hard worker the dude is, myself included.

You don't pass up on signing Punk, Danielson, and Cole, especially when you need credible depth in your main event scene to further build up your brand. Too many big signings weren't the cause of WCW's death, too much horrible creative was.

Morrison is good/athletic in the ring, so obviously WWE decides to mostly use him in cringe talking segments using words like "moist" and "drip drip". Yikes.

I loved the psychology in that match, Darby being a madman, and Punk's facial reactions. Punk is a fantastic storyteller and student of wrestling.

At this point it's more surprising when the creative is thoughtfully planned out and not constantly being changed throughout the show.

I'll never understand why WWE insists on upending something that's working okay-ish (and a lot of times things that are working better than okay) and pushing someone beyond what they're ready for. Sometimes it's okay to just hide a big guy in a tag team or bodyguard role.
