Sorry, Cena seems like a wonderful guy in person, but his character on TV is a total wimp that tries way too hard to get people behind him by saying and doing all the right things. I can't stand the pandering. Just be a real person and admit that you hate being booed and that it sucks. I'm sick of him still reaching for cheers from the people that boo him. Be a freakin' man and stand up for yourself. It makes me dislike him more when he says it doesn't bother him. Dude, you're human, and no human enjoys being disliked. You're acting like a p****. Screw the WWE too for doing the same crap. The whole "rise above hate" campaign is also arrogant. News flash: he's a professional wrestler, he kayfabe beats people up for a living. It's perfectly okay for him to dislike his competition and want to kick their asses and also hate on the people that boo him.
It's not difficult to see why people overwhelmingly cheered for guys like Austin and Rock. They were badasses that didn't go out there all smiles and happy and poop jokes while picking the right time to go "grr intense face". No, they were badass 100% of the time that had that aura of "I don't give a s***" that people like cheering for. People enjoy cheering for salty sons of bitches that kick ass and take names. It's the same reason Wolverine is the most popular X-Man, why Batman is the most popular DC character, why John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, James Bond, etc. are always go-to badasses. Cena does not have that aura, he doesn't even come close. It is extremely difficult trying to like him, let alone cheer for him. He has to be the worst booked and portrayed "top" guy in WWE ever. Instead of giving him a niche, they've instead tried to combine them all into one amalgam character that pleases everyone.
He ends up being so very unlikeable to me. It may just be him, but this combination of goofy dork/intense competitor is quite possibly the worst top character ever.

You really let the male species down when you didn't immediately flex your arms and offer to give her your room number.

This feud sucks because while The Rock is cutting mostly kayfabe promos, Cena seems to be attacking Dwayne Johnson the person--which has become a lot of the norm these days. The Rock comes from an era where kayfabe is still the norm, and he's been cutting promos very close to what he would normally cut in that era. I don't think he knows how to respond to the "shoot" style we've grown accustomed to. The Rock is trying to make Cena the character look bad, while it seems Cena is trying to make Dwayne Johnson look bad.
The clear character lines of the previous era compared to the more faded character lines of today don't mix.

*note to self, never say "what" in front of the IWC. May get lynched.* I mean, damn. Some of you are really upset over this. I know it may seem silly to some, but I've been watching that man perform ever since I was 7 years-old. Basically since I can remember. So yeah, consider me a bit peeved when he gets completely disrespected and shat on by a live audience. As if he deserves it after all he's done in the name of entertainment. I've been a fan of wrestling for 20 years now, which means 'Taker has been there the entire time as I've grown from a adolescent boy, to teenager, and man in his late 20s now. I have literally grown up watching this man, so yeah, it wounds me to see him treated that way.

It was hard watching the crowd crap all over a legend like that. I felt ashamed to be a wrestling fan.

True or not, I was hoping the story would be a little more detailed. What do you want? Size, shape, smell, and consistency?

A lot of people may disagree... "I'm really happy for you. I'm'a let you finish, but The Godfather was the greatest Attitude era star of all time!"

Steamy Nicks should've farted into a microphone. They might have reacted to that. Fixed.

I'm going to go ahead and devise a mathematical theory that states a direct correlation between a lack of Brodus Clay and a garbage Monday Night Raw.

Welcome back to the Tournament to End All Tournaments! No surprises in the last match-up as Rodney Dangerfield made short work of Stuntman Mike. It was pretty much a given that Dangerfield would advance beyond the first round. Better luck on the draw next time, Mike. Help me find out who the most awesome/badass character/person of all time is! How would one accomplish such a task? Why by pitting every awesome and/or badass person/character/historical figure in a 512-person bracket style tournament that leaves only one person standing in the end. Who will it be? You will decide. There is no voting criteria. You can vote for a participant based on whatever you please. If you feel that person would be the victor in a fist fight, or if you think they're more badass, more epic, have better hair, or if you just like one better than the other. It's completely up to you, the voter. I want people to have fun with this, and perhaps imagine the two participants squaring off face to face. Today we have some more true blue flesh and blood as World famous Prohibition agent, Eliot Ness, takes on Captain Jack Sparrow of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise. Ness was famous for taking on Al Capone during Prohibition era America with his personal squad of "Untouchables", who were uncorrupt officers that went to war with Ness on the streets. His story gave inspiration to a film based on him and his "Untouchables", with Kevin Costner playing the lead role. Sparrow is the sole reason for the success of the Pirates franchise, being played by the beloved and charismatic Johnny Depp, he commands every scene he is a part of. He made pirates cool again. I can't say Costner made lawmen cool, but Ness doesn't need Costner's help being a badass. Eliot Ness.VS. Captain Jack Sparrow--- Results: Tom Hanks(5) def. Van Helsing(3) -- Burt Reynolds(6) def. Welcome back to the Tournament to End All Tournaments! Doth my eyes deceive me or did a video game character just defeat a mid 90s pop culture icon? Color me impressed. Help me find out who the most awesome/badass character/person of all time is! How would one accomplish such a task? Why by pitting every awesome and/or badass person/character/historical figure in a 512-person bracket style tournament that leaves only one person standing in the end. Who will it be? It's completely up to you, the voter. I want people to have fun with this, and perhaps imagine the two participants squaring off face to face. Time for some real flesh and blood today as we have another infusion of classic American comedy with the tournament debut of Rodney Dangerfield. He takes on the psychotic main character of the less popular Tarantino flick, Death Proof, Stuntman Mike, who instills much joy from murdering attractive, young females in a stunt car. Dangerfield is an icon, who at the same time, gets no respect. Anyone who's anyone knows who he is and enjoys his work. Stuntman Mike was, of course, played by Kurt Russell, and was an attempt by Tarantino to re-introduce the badass Kurt Russell we all know and love. Personally, I'd say he succeeded, as Mike is both dastardly and intriguing at the same time. But is that enough to top the iconic Dangerfield? Rodney Dangerfield.VS. "Opportunistic radio show tries to capitalize on vague comments to get people to pay attention to them."
Should Punk have said what he said? Probably not, simply for the fact that it in no way benefits him. His saving grace is that he didn't mention names or go into details. We also must take into account that people are generally bitter after a relationship ends.

Welcome back to the Tournament to End All Tournaments! Bill the Butcher prevails over the American ninja, Snake Eyes, in a close but decisive victory. Bill's ideas about American were probably just too much for the silent assassin. Today we have yet another oddball matchup involving a video game character taking on cartoon personalities. We have the original horror video game icon and vampire killer, Simon Belmont, taking on arguably MTV's most successful adult cartoon duo, Beavis and Butthead. Now some might say this is an unfair match at 2v1, but would it really make sense to split them up? Besides, I don't think they're anything Simon can't handle. He has killed Dracula numerous times afterall. Simon Belmont.VS. Beavis & Butthead--- Results: Tom Hanks(5) def. Van Helsing(3) -- Burt Reynolds(6) def. Gordon Freeman(1) -- Richard Petty(4) def.
