I really hate the camera angles of this game. Sure the outside, under the lights is awesome.. but I don't want to try and watch a 2 inch piece of rubber from the view of the goodyear blimp.
The ice has got to suck right now with as hard as it's raining. Turning to slush no doubt. Puck is just dying on the ice and the boys are going to get very tired skating in that crap.

it's traditional to blow the whistle when the puck is covered in the crease

Always nice to climb back in the saddle after a long time off. I haven't ridden my horse since summer. Too flippin' cold. He's a wonderful pasture pet though. Being on the other side of the ocean, I'm more of a western rider, but with the right horse jumps can be heaps of fun. Hope your ride goes well and you get more saddle time !

You see that sweet goal Sid scored going through 3 Thrashers ? How about that one Letestu just put in? He's had to have been the biggest surprise for is, this season. Yeah, he's done well. Who do they sit when Staal comes back ?

Our PK is unreal. And thank God for that, because we just can't seem to stop taking stupid penalties, and giving our opponents a 5-on-3 chance every damned game. You see that sweet goal Sid scored going through 3 Thrashers ?

Not really but I don't pretend to be with my sports emotion. hmmm.. I was replying to Khali, forgot to quote I guess. You're not getting off the hook that easy Hey your name is back.. did you change sports affiliations or just get bored and put it back ? *** and yeah, the Steelers were NOT the only team using roids.

I love Troy heaps and the D sucks without him.. but give credit where credit is due, Ben and the offense put points on the board. Is the credit really so due, though? Pittsburgh's offense is far-better coached than other teams such as Baltimore (our play calling is laughable, but I digress) yet their scoring is really hardly any better. What good teams have they ripped up? The Bengals? The Titans? The Buccaneers? Those aren't good teams this season. Very few of the teams this season are actually "good." The Saints are. The Patriots are. The Ravens are even with the Steelers. Otherwise, that's really about it. In all honesty, I'm not impressed with them this season at all. Last season? The season before? Yeah, I'd agree. But they're really a lackluster team right now, especially considering how good their leadership is. This year, not so much. But you put a blanket statement out there that only the one player on the D wins games. I'm just saying that over the same amount of time, hell, past 5 years the offense has done just as much to win games. Last year without Troy in the lineup the offense was putting up huge numbers while the D was allowing other teams to run up even higher numbers. This year the offensive line is the issue, I don't think we have a single starter out there with the exception of Pouncey. Might have spelled that wrong, I think it makes me a band wagon fan since I don't know the prior few starting centers like Dawson, Webster and whoever we had last year.. Hartings, Hastings ?

I'm from Baltimore like a few of the other people here. As you can imagine, people where I live absolutely hate the Steelers as a whole and I've been in an environment where that sort of thing is more than just welcome (It's allowed, too). It's odd, because I have a grudging respect for their management for keeping their team perpetually sharp, hiring decent coaching staff (better than the Ravens, at least ) and all that. But Pittsburgh is a fading team that's largely successful only because of one player on their roster, and that's none other than Troy himself. That dude is a damn beast on the field and he doesn't play dirty, and I respect that a lot. He's also the reason why their relict Secondary is still considered to be good. Otherwise? Can't stand them. Ben Roethlisberger I used to like, but I'm getting annoyed by him solely because he's a big slow guy who miraculously avoids half his sacks since people seem to bounce off of the air around him. I don't care what he did in his private life; he's a professional athlete, not a homemaker. Unless he ends up murdering someone or whatever, I won't care. But that said, guys like Hines Ward and James Harrison are completely unprofessional and don't deserve the privilege to play in the NFL. I love Troy heaps and the D sucks without him.. but give credit where credit is due, Ben and the offense put points on the board.

WHICH CITY HAS THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE FANS? Green Bay 26% Pittsburgh 14% New York 9% Philadelphia 8% Dallas 7% ... I don't see Patriots fans on the list. Fitting, very fitting.

I wanna know if your "friends" who claimed they'd lose respect for you if you fought him, offered him the same ultimatum ? Seems like he's the one they should lose respect for. If they told you than, then still buddy around with him, I think you need new friends. You were right not to fight, it's childish and immature and would have put you right on that same level with Evan, a tool.

If Crosby does run his streak right up to the Winter Classic, I imagine that NBC will be a very happy bunch. If they Penguins want to go anywhere this season, the streak's going to have to continue for a long, long time. Malkin's switch is back to the "off"/"lazy" position, and team discipline has become a problem again. Staal won't be anywhere close to on form if he comes back at all this season. This leaves Sid and Letang the only players capable of generating consistent points. Kunitz, Conner, Letestu, and Kennedy are good at possession and pressure, but they just can't get the puck in the net. Dude.. Malkin played hurt most of last year and got hurt early this season. Since he's come back he's been on a 5 game point streak, had a 6 point night and for the two games the Pens lost HE was the ONLY goal scorer. Don't mess with Malkin. On a more fun note.. Pittsburgh weather the day before the Classic. 45 degrees and rain. The ice is going to melt LOL
