Best show ever. I seriously believe that if Fox hadn't screwed with it so much, it would still be on the air today. Or at least it would have gotten a respectable run. On the other hand, I'm a fan of Joss Whedon's other series', and they tended to jump the shark rather drastically, imo, after a few seasons so perhaps it's for the best. Still waiting on another gorram movie though.

After reading this post, I'm officially a fan of Miz as WWE champion... and the Miz in general.

I almost... almost... want to get a WII for this. But then I think back to the fact that the original Goldeneye was the reason I got an N64 and it doesn't seem worth it, IMO. I mean Goldeneye was my favorite game back then and I got years of play out of it, but I don't think it and the handfull of good N64 games were worth getting an entire system for.
Maybe if I can find a cheap used Wii.....

I saw the demo of this the other day and I must have it. The Pac Man franchise has had some pretty lame sequels, but this one is pure amazing.

Honestly I don't see this genre dying, but it's definitely run its course and the bubble has burst. It's just like any other video game fad. It will rake in billions of dollars, get over analyzed, get more and more people who hate the game(s) mostly because they're not good at it and people who are experts at it get giant undeserved egos and act douchy, then it will fade away while market analysts spend a couple of years saying it's dead as profits decline.
In a few years the genre will come back because it's retro. And not the regular 20-30 year retro, but the video game 10-15 year retro. And people will go back to saying "huhuhuh u suck for playing that instead of a real guitar huhuh!" And I'll say "huhuh u suck for playing WoW instead of really casting spells and killing things with an axe huhuh!"
So yeah... speaking of declining markets. MMOs....

I occasionally see JITB commercials on tv here even though there aren't any locations in Cincinnati... or Ohio... or any states bordering Ohio...

A lot of things have already been mentioned. Lots of bands that I heard either through friends into certain scenes (that's how I first got into AFI back when they were a hardcore punk band) or played on a local indie music station, 97x (first heard bands like Ministry, KMFDM, Dizee Rascall, lots of techno artists, etc). As for video games, GTA1 is a big one. I got introduced to that when it first came out by a friend in Australia who got me a copy of the cracked PC version to try. When it came out on PS1, I got it as soon as I could. I was actually playing that along with GTA: London and GTA2 when GTA3 came out and suddenly all the people who would talk trash about the game had "been a fan since it came out". As for console games, I've played just about everything and either own or am in the process of owning everything I can. Or replacing stuff that either got stolen (like my Neo Geo) or I had to sell (Like my TG16 and 3DO). Pokemon. I wound up with the japanese red and green versions like a year or two before it became an annoying fad in the states. Anime. People used to make fun of me for watching "weird Japanese cartoons" in the early 90s. Dragonball, Ranma 1/2, I think Tenchi Muyo, Gundam, Akira heck even Sailor Moon. Then suddenly Dragonball Z caught on and anime was suddenly popular and I wasn't such a weirdo. Watchmen: A friend of mine forced me to read Watchmen when I was in junior high, and I"ve since forced other people to read it... including girlfriends of mine that have asked what comics they should read when they're trying to "get me" more lol. I've also been following movie rumors for at least 10 years before the movie came out Tons of other stuff. Most of my friends are hardcore fans of SOMETHING, so I get introduced to so much stuff it's ridiculous. I wind up on the cutting edge without realizing it or caring, then when things get popular I've already gotten bored with it. In a sense it's almost a pain in the ass because I have a hard time enjoying some things when they're socially relevant.

For me, real life immediately stopped being like high school. The difference was a bit of a culture shock. There are always people who act like they're in high school until they die, and put gossip and drama ahead of everything else, but for the most part people just don't give a crap about other people or their problems.

Watching some anime right now while making dinner. Trying to brush up on my Japanese. Then eating dinner, then hanging out with friends, have a couple beers, and play video games and/or watch a movie.

I'm going to have to go with Austin on this one. How Randy Orton is even on that list boggles my mind. And Ric Flair needs to be about 16 places higher, imo.
