And forgive me and recognize when we notice a pattern of one or more mods doing something when they shouldn't we will speak up. At any point I complained about being stern? No At any point I said that there didn't need to be action or you never did any good job? No. You don't like I say mods on a general term when it was a couple of problems mods? Well I think that would be hypcrital given how the situations are handled Like I said, I haven’t seen the posts you’re referring to. Feel free to send them my way and I’ll weigh in I’m the problem, it’s me. I thought I could have a conversation and give my thoughts and opinions and was piled on. Instead of engaging I walked away from the thread. It does disappoint me that this board has turned into and us v them mentality when it comes to The Elite and Punk. I do miss being able to talk wrestling and yes I haven’t been a regular poster in a bit , but I still love it. I’m passionate about wrestling , and beyond excited and happy for the guys that I watched perform in the American Legion Hall are now the stars of today. But you wouldn’t know that if you were not a fan of Punk. Because then, you’re paintbrushed. I have learned not to bring up the Meltz (unless it’s about how he speaks about women, I can still be disgusted about that right?) or Punk, honestly. It is pretty odd how ex-IWC darling Punk is now the old school veteran that’s always wrong. Die the hero or live long enough to the villian, thanks Nolan. This board was huge for me I’m 2007 or so, helping me get through a lot of personal issues and I made real friends here. But maybe time has passed me by and I don’t belong. And if I don’t post on this board I’m sure a lot of you will be happy. And that’s ok. I’m still a fan. And if this is too inside baseball, feel free to Perry me (suspend you know). I will add that I never banner or warned anyone out of spite. It’s usually trolls or locking things when they get heated until the heat subsides. But wow. This board is a different beast than it used to be. I still love the Young Bucks and watch every BTE, and I’ll still be entertained by Punk. He’s still a huge draw, too, which speaks about his talent. Sure, he didn’t make it the ufc but who expected him to? Tony’s still learning and this whole ordeal has been a bad situation with bad consequences. Anyway, don’t know where I was going with this. Went off track a bit ago. Anyone have any muffins?

Yep, exactly this. Never been in that kinda situation, so of course he was afraid. Still doesn’t undo him being a bitch the entire time, but he’s growing. even removing the circumstances in which Khan grew up in, he's still just a regular person, not exactly trained in any self-defense or even wrestling. It's understandable he'd be feeling fearful for his life when an angry pro wrestler who also knows MMA is stomping around backstage. Yeah, I think it’s one of those things that other promoters either grew up in the industry or were wrestlers themselves. So definitely a regular person in the crazy world of professional wrestling, and totally understand to be afraid for his safety or others around him.

Yep, exactly this. Never been in that kinda situation, so of course he was afraid. Still doesn’t undo him being a bitch the entire time, but he’s growing. Have you ever been in that situation? Have you ever had a wrestler storming towards you angry and upset, who has just been in a fight with another wrestler? If you have, please tell us about it. If not, don't make fun of Tony for saying he feared for his life. Most people would feel the same as Tony did. I didn’t see where I made fun of him for it. He hasnt been in a competitive situation like that before, of course it’s natural to be scared or afraid around athletes that are fuming. Doesn’t end the fact that he should have taken care of things a year ago when things went side ways.

Where in the hell did the whole “Meltzer is in the Bucks’ pocket” narrative come from? Like, I made the joke several hundred pages back that they named a move after him so CLEARLY he must be doing their bidding, but some people seem to really believe it. I never really cared too terribly much for the Bucks. They kind of have a smarmy holier than thou vibe. But my God, the way people have tried to vilify them for literally doing nothing throughout this whole saga is making me a fan of theirs by default. Does no one remember last years scrum? Doesn’t have to be from bucks directly, could be from their camp. Also, realized quickly I cannot say anything that isn’t Pro Dave or Pro Elite (I like them btw, have liked and followed them since I would watch them live in PWG) in this area. Anyway, my point was that there are different sides to the story based on who you hear it from. Punks gone, AEW had a good show in a moment where they needed it, and hopefully they can figure out this backstage stuff (like what does Perry gain from saying stuff on TV? For someone that fans wouldn’t get without context?) so they can move past the diversions and grow as a company. I’m going to step outside now.

He grew up in obscene wealth and luxury, I doubt exposure to violence and aggression was ever 'normalised' for him in the way that it would have been for many of us, so I don't doubt for a second that he even feared for his life with an angry pro wrestler approaching him having just attacked someone else. Even most of us who didn't come from that kind of background would probably be thinking 'this guy is gonna hurt me'. Regardless I respect him for making the call to turn Punk loose and then going out and taking the heat from the crowd, better late than never as the saying goes. Yep, exactly this. Never been in that kinda situation, so of course he was afraid. Still doesn’t undo him being a bitch the entire time, but he’s growing.

TK: "I feared for my safety and my life and I don't want to put the wrestlers or the staffers through this or feel like they're in danger at work so I terminated Punk's contract." Hausman's Doofus Squad and Co.: "MELTZER LIED"I'm picturing the Punk Camp roundtable trying to come up with their next move when Dax suggests, "What if we go at Meltzer?" and everyone at the table nods approvingly Eh, Meltz have Bucks team in his ear. Not saying either side is right or wrong, but that’s the side we’re going to hear from Meltz. Three sides to every story; their side, punks side, and the truth.

This whole period of WWF is weird. Sid also left right after WM8, so 3/4 of their double main event was gone within 9 months (although Hogan would later return for 120 days in '93). Arguably their hottest heel in years - Jake Roberts - was fed to a now-face Undertaker in the second match on the show before he, too, bolted. And then, of course, the end of the Hogan-Justice match at WM8; a total cluster that was saved from eternal damnation by Warrior returning.
I'm up to TV immediately following WM8. It's clear the Warrior return (in painted body suit!?) was supposed to be the saving grace. Yep flesh colored suit with muscles, an idea that they liked soo much they used for Giant Gonzalez too .

Any updates on this? Why wouldn’t the family confirm that she wasn’t dead right away?
Was this a publicity stunt gone wrong?
Or is everyone just pushing this aside to keep on the 24 news cycle?

He was too small, no charisma.
Still awesome in his role, though.
Also, Virgilina was the best thing he ever did

Yeah, let’s not say anything silly. The fact he and Scott had such significance in wrestling history made people feel worse about this whole situation. Yeah, I was pumped that the Steiners were being added to 2K23. We weren't getting 1999 Rick or Big Poppa Pump, we were getting the freaking Steiner Brothers. And then Rick revealed his bigotry. The Steiners were relevant big time, they were an all time great tag team. Steiner Brothers got me interested in Japan and to check out IWGP as a kid. They were world wide stars

At the time I loved that he was back. But like, he was just kind of there. Seemed like they didn’t know what to do with him, just another attraction on the show.

Making Boss Man look strong so he can build up on the way out? Only thing I can think of. They were teasing a feud with Nailz and Taker after Survivor Series, they had a staredown on Superstars but Nailz was fired shortly afterwards. Yep the stare down made the wwf magazine

That's answered in the forthcoming shoot. Interesting. I just always figured it was just simply because Boss Man was the face and it made morse sense in the story to have him go over even though they had more plans for Nailz. Although it ended up working out with Nailz getting himself fired, it really didn't make sense for what was planned for each guy. Nailz was planned for a big feud with Undertaker while Boss Man spent the rest of his time getting jobbed out and putting over all the new heels in the company (Razor, Bam Bam, Yoko, Doink) before leaving early into 93. What makes it more weird is even though Boss Man wins the match cleanly and decisively with his finisher, all the commentary afterwards from Vince and Heenan is focused on putting over Nailz and how tough he is while they don't even make mention of Boss Man even though he's the one who won. However I guess there's a back story behind it. Making Boss Man look strong so he can build up on the way out? Only thing I can think of.
