never said id rather him pout... the rock takes it to far with the smiling, the little fake laugh and his personality. Hes comes across as fake in every interview or appearance hes seen at. Just because hes suppose to be happy and enjoying himself doesnt mean he has to come across as fake.....thats why He'll always be a B class actor.....

because every interview Ive seen of his, inside and OUTSIDE of wrestling before he became a "movie superstar", he was polit and down to earth person.. a real person
Ever since he's gotten these movie roles at every single event he does the smile LAUGH, and the same f***in smile at every event... If it was something that hes done before wrestling, or even outside of wrestling during his wrestling time I would call it genuine.... but he just developed this little fake smile and sarcastic laugh once he went "hollywood"
i could carless if he comes back to raw ever again, I dont hate the guy and Im glad hes making money but as my original post said.. I hate that commercial and how he came across..

I think if Cena does follow in the rocks footsteps, Wrestling will always be #1 in Cena's life. Say what you want to about Cena but its obvious that he LOVES the WWE and will be wrestling until hes psyhically unable to Rock just wanted the perks he got from being in wrestling to take him to a better place.
I really beleive Cena bleeds WWE

2 days later and after reading the posts, I still dont have anything good to say about that commercial, when it was aired, and what he said during it. Anyone else hate the way the rock breaks out the fake smile and laugh he does all the time now, the f***er did it ALOT during the HOF speech...
Its like hes smiling but inside hes grinding his teeth thinking
"man i gotta resort back to these idiots again., im to good for this"
flash a fake smile and that gay Uncle DJ laugh and hes gone!
Until hes got something else to chill, then its back to advertising the wrestling community

im thankful he was here for his brief period of time, but to say we owe the rock so much is outrageous!
We owe the Undertakers, the Ric flair's, the Steve Austin's...not some former pro football player who only wanted to be famous and used wrestling as a catapult to acheive what he wants ( not thats there is anything wrong with that)

no no no no to the poster who said we all owe the rock alot?
We dont owe him anything. Yes he entertained us for years and such, but the rock came along during wrestling BIGGEST peek time ever. It wasnt just the Rock who was huge then, it was Rock, Austin. Mcmahon. Taker, Kane, Dx...helll Billy Freaking Gunn was hella over in the late 90's..... The fans made The Rock
The Fans made the Rocks wreslting career The fans made the Rocks acting Career as well....
As far as I see... Hes was great in the wrestling business during a HOT HOT time.. but what happened when the attitude era started to burn down... so do his popularity.
We dont owe The Rock anything

until in a few years he comes back to "put people over" and just happens to need the wrestling audience to help his next movie be a success...

i agree but if they were marketing towards the wrestling fan a simple... "hey, its dwayne Johnson the "People Champ" or something along those lines. If your marketing something towards your CORE audience you should include something to draw the fans in and get their attention. No it wouldnt be wrong for Michael Jordan commercial to air during an NBA game.....but i guarantee you that in that commercial Jordan would be wearing a Chicago Bulls Jersey or showing some of his Bulls Highlights because thats what people want to see and thats what first comes to mind when people think Michael Jordan!......They think Chicago Bulls, Domination, 72 wins.......They dont think Washington Wizards, Baseball, White Sox... they are smart because in the ads they are giving you core fans of Jordan what they want and how they remeber Jordan as.... Wrestling fans dont remeber the Rock for his role in Doom or because he goes by his real name now, they will always knows him as the Rock. If this promo aired during any other telecast no harm now foul, but as a wrestling fan, seeing a former wrestler, having a commercial for his new movie during a wrestling show and for it to have not one single thing dealing with his past or how he go to where he is... it pissed me off its the exact same situation.. but anyways.. Booo on Rock and the ppl who made the commercial

no all im saying is... if hes "moved on" and is a serious Hollywood actor now, then how's come when he came back to do the Hall of Fame, he was going by "The Rock"
I dont have any problem with him using his real name in the promo, but the fact is, to me atleast in the promo he came across as never having anything at all to do with the business. You know, the business that GAVE HIM the oppurtunity to become the "serious hollywood actor" that he wants to be so badly.
For the casual fan of his movies whom only knows him as Dwayne Johnson there was nothing wrong with that promo, but that would be like watching an episode of Raw or Smackdown and say Hogan was in Rock's shoes..
"Hey Raw Fans, Im Terry Bollea and im hear to give you a sneak peek at my new movie"... to the casual fan whom would only know them as movie stars no harm taken, I find offense in the fact that it was directed at his CORE audience.. Rock can claim to be bigger than wrestling and a hollywood star now but ALOT of wrestling fans go see his movies... As a promo aired during a wrestling show...i was offended in the way he came across.....
Hulk Hogan will always be known as hulk hogan to wrestling fans Dwayne Johnson will always be known as the Rock to wrestling fans......
plus to me it seems like rock only wants something to do with wrestling when he can benefit somewhere... to further his career or "pimp" a movie he has coming out

"Dwayne Johnson here, stay tuned for an exclusive USA sneak peek at my new movie..."
did this commercial PISS anyone else off. First off he isnt Duane Johnson to those of us who watch Raw, he is "The Rock". He left wrestling to be a movie star, yadda yadda more power to him. The problem I have is that he wants to be taken soooo serious and be called by his first name, why in the hell does he STILL rely on the casual wrestling fan to watch his movie? I could understand if he said "Hey Raw fans, the people Champ, The Rock is here with a sneek peek..
but noppppe no rock at all.. just Dwayne Johnson
maybe im just lame but did anyone get offended by this?
man i hate the rock
