Jynx probably said "niggardly" or "naggers" and people got all in a huff and called her a racist right?

Mildly curious I'm pretty average I suppose.

Batman seems to have a floating moral compass based on the whims of the writers. He might not pull the trigger, but he's not above using guys as human shields.

I find it interesting that "Arliss" is in the position of the traditional goof role, but is only very slightly played that way.
He's got a pretty good head on his shoulders, doesn't speak in one liners, does his job competently and beats down some Joker goons.

lowest opening ever for any Spider-Man movie Maybe despite it being a new series it's still so close to the last movie that it still suffered from the law of diminishing returns.

I named all my characters in Hour of Darkness after the girls from Claymore, just a random note.

Who did he murder in the Shumacher movies? He killed Two-Face in Batman Forever. Two-Face tossed up his coin, Batman threw up a bunch of others, Two-Face scrambles, trying to find his, and falls to his death. His death was caused by his falling, but he wouldn't have fallen without Batman's influence, there. And given what we've seen, Batman could have easily grappled him if he chose to. Kind of like the Ice Princess in Batman Returns actually, guess he wasn't feeling his oats that day when he let her fall to her death right in front of him.

Given the depth and width of what they talk about on "I Love the ___'s" shows I'd say every single thing we say, do or buy will be fair game in the eyes of people 20 years from now.

I just assume they were going back to the original Bill Finger version of Batman who said that Batman not killing and having recurring villains undermined the whole concept of his "war on crime".

And yet they'll still put Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler over as the biggest threats Sheamus has ever faced at any given time.

In the fact that it's a first hero movie, but it's not really an origin flick. It's like the film starts, and here's Batman already kicking ass.
Now it's obviously very early in his carer, but there's never the set up of how he came to be. Eventually they do do the "my parents are dead" aspect but it's used more as back story for Joker than anything else, the merit of which being debatable of course.
It just seems like a weird thing to me, I guess they just assumed (correctly) that everyone knows all this stuff and just want to see Batman and not Bruce Wayne guy in training.
Which kind of makes me ponder what Batman Begins did.

Doesn't seem like this thread is moving as fast as the Avengers thread. Neither is the box office *bazing*

I'm really hoping they get a little freaky with the line up, Grundy being in there gives me some hope for that.
Klarion, Zatanna, Phantom Stranger, Dex-Starr...
The possibilities are endless.

While of course no list is the final say on anything, the IMDB 250 is certainly a good thing to scan if you want to check out something good that you haven't seen before.

Nothing happens: The movie Now I can see what they were going for here, but you don't need to have 10 minutes flying scene followed by some info dump followed by another 10 minute flying scene. The entire 45 minutes at the start could have been told in 10 flat and nothing would have been lost, well other then spaceships very slowly going places. Pink Floyds 'Echoes' matches up quite well with the Beyond the Infinite chapter tho' that's cool. It's also fun to spot homages in other media.

Romance, it's basically the only genre that US comics don't do much/well so there ya go.

Just throwing this out there as I think people really need to understand that people don't like FF for plenty of legitimate and reasonable reasons beyond "hurr durr she's a woman saying things I don't like" She also gave a rather interesting interview over on Destructiod that left more than a few people wondering what the big deal was about her, her views on the game Bastion in particular being a real head scratcher. I'll also throw down this one too as I think she gives a pretty good view on the "hows and whys" on why fiction does things the way they do. Basically I really think people need to sit down a bit and think about the difference between "sexuality" and "sexism", and stop slut-shaming to boot actually.
