My guess is Drake surprisingly does get the better of Truth once only to end up eating another superkick and being immediately pinned. It keeps the belt on Truth/Carmella without a heel turn and a slightly different dynamic.

Eh, I think he's going after the WWE title. The one night Kofi didn't show up on RAW he pulls this?

I think once he makes the main roster he'll be a heel because Vince wont get him. He's the type that needs to start as a heel anyway.

This is pretty standard and people are only making a deal out of it because they didn't like the outcome. There are multiple big surprises that WWE has done that are known to as little people as they can get away with for it to work. Cena's rumble return was one of them. Well, yeah. A surprise still has to be a GOOD surprise. Cena's return? Good surprise, to most. Brock about to get another stranglehold on the belt? Not a good surprise. Cena winning a rumble to get back into the title picture he was always in isn't much different. The point is, if WWE is planning a big surprise they will keep it on a need to know basis. This was the case with Seths cash in, which was known to the wrestlers sometime after Seths opening match. Nobody was crying poor Roman then. Or for Romans match with Brock at Mania last year.

Its fine to use Rey and Jeff as examples but you also have to remember both spent years taking their share of lumps in the mid/undercard, and Richochet is like 2 months in.

You can tell Vince hates him, because he debuted on the main roster less than a year in NXT, and in the months since debuting on the main card, he's had a match on the main card of Wrestlemania, and is in the Money In The Bank match. He's doomed. I'm so confused on this Ricochet stuff. I haven't really noticed anything 'bad' about his presentation thus far.

The ending to the tag stuff was sorta lame. Should have just had them drop the belts

Why would "man only" be something they care about in this era of womens wrestling? This whole thing sounds stupid, like theres people upset the Japanese women have a japanese name and thats...bad? Like, a really lazy mashup name was so much better? I dislike either anyway. it was more a fun fact.I just wish there was away to get a cool name that represents both. I guess weird and standing out cna fit both. Its bad ,and boring, because WWE always boils tag teams of foreign heritage to "that country".For example Sky Pirates was neat, not that silly bu goofy like Kirai, and it fits then as a theme. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Kairi and Asuka leaning into their heritage. Its not like either of them hides from it and it is a part of them. "Sky Pirates" still isn't anything other than combining one word from each of their catchphrases and pretending it makes sense. Maybe its just me but they literally did that wwith EVERY MMC team and it never made sense. Even Boss and Hug Connection falls into it.

Fun Fact: Kabuki is for a long time a man'only thing. But dont let that stop WWE because JAPANESE RIGHT? Even if they came up with the name its pretty bad At least get both gimmicks in there: Kabuki Pirates Why would "man only" be something they care about in this era of womens wrestling? This whole thing sounds stupid, like theres people upset the Japanese women have a japanese name and thats...bad? Like, a really lazy mashup name was so much better?

Sorry, but the "HHH = Savior" narrative will always be laughable as the guy continues to book himself in the longest Mania match every year with his big ego trip matches. I don't care what he does in NXT when there's nothing to lose there. Youβre mixing up him as a performer vs. him as a booker. And even if itβs his own matches, Vince is still 100% booking and in charge of the main roster. I'm not mixing them up at all. How do people go "poor HHHs NXT babies" in one breath while they are crowded into battle royals because HHH needs a 30 minute match plus a 10 minute entrance about how cool he is? This isn't new, this is every year since HBK retired where he's done this. How is it that we spent years talking about HHH was in creative and booking himself favorably when he was active, but now he has NO power and its all Vince? Thats incredibly convenient. Nobody in NXT encroaches on his territory, that makes a world of difference. You can't separate the two because you like NXT. Its still HHH.

They're de-crazying her, apparently, or at least majorly scaling it back. It was necessary, and they should have done this a while ago.

There is always something going on with Smackdown womens matches, where they announce a match during the week and change it an hour before the show. I can't imagine how frustrating that has to be.
They literally had Carmella show up at the arena, give an interview about a 6 women tag match 2 hours before the show, then change the match and delete said interview. This also happened with the 4-way to face Asuka that just turned into Charlotte/Asuka. They all showed up at the arena hyping that match up for it to switch right before the show.

NXT is structured entirely different and caters to its type of fanbase, and there's always going to be a disconnect. Taped 1 hour shows, 5 big shows a year, and a roster that cycles people out once they've reached certain level of accomplishment and head to the main roster. They are doing 2 different things.
I wouldn't say its a 'problem', but it does ruin fans expectations because they can't understand the differences and why people don't 'feel like stars' on the main roster.

She is for sure not winning, but I think sheβd be good at doing spots off and with the ladders. No one dreamed Carmella was winning either.... She was a pretty popular choice. Not because of being booked stronger but she fit the MITB profile even if Charlotte was in the match.
