Jeff's clarification was that "he was setting a goal" which is complete and utter bullshit. No one says "I'm going to that other company" as a goal, especially within the context of the interview. If he said "I misspoke and meant to say I'm hopefully going to AEW" then maybe he'd be easier to believe. Oh, I know what he really meant, Jeff knows what he meant, absolutely everyone knew what he meant. But remember, we're not discussing right or wrong, truth or lie, it's apparently down to what's legal or not. And I don't know how WWE would necessarily be able to prove it. That's the point of litigation, to get to discovery. If WWE wanted to take Jeff to court, it's unlikely a judge wouldn't at least let it proceed to discovery. Jeff can't just play dumb in a court of law. But I doubt WWE does anything about it.

You can argue that WWE can sue or whatever, & we can argue about the morality of it also. But ultimately they'd have to be able to prove it has occured, which would be tricky. Jeff likely had discussions, & even blurted something out publically, but he could always put that down to 'I misspoke' or 'let me clarify what I meant'. Unless there's a piece of paper with Jeff Hardy's signature on it in AEW HQ, it would be so difficult to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

I think the thing with Jeff Hardy's case that makes it bad for him is the fact that his exit was REALLY strange. Like I at least have some questions as to whether Jeff did that on purpose in an attempt to get fired. And if that was the case, AND he was breaking his contract by negotiating with AEW before he was allowed to, it wouldn't end pretty.
If he was just like some that got released then it probably would be a little different.

I mean, does it make sense to rush Asuka back just to have her in a pointless match at WrestleMania? She's not fighting for either title, so maybe better off just waiting after to incorporate her so it makes more sense. She can feud with Bianca or Ronda.

STORY TIME!
Back in the day, The Big Show used to poop in Vince's private bathrooms and then leave it there without flushing. It didn't take long for Vince to figure out who the culprit was, considering how massive the doodoo was. Fast forward a little bit and Big Show is being booked to wrestle The Great Khali on house shows. After a couple of these Big Show's confused as to why he's wrestling Khali (as it's a pain in the ass to wrestle him, especially on a daily basis) so he asks Vince "Hey Vince I get the whole giant vs giant thing but are we like going to India or something? Where's this heading?" And Vince replies "ARE YOU GONNA QUIT SHITTING IN MY TOILET?" To which Big Show said "Oh...yes sir!" and Vince changed the card back to what it was.

People seem to forget that WWE contracts are also about having exclusive rights to the performer in a wrestling capacity. So it's not just a matter of "he has to fulfill his responsibilities" since WWE can say "Well our contract is also about intellectual property and he can't revoke that unilaterally"

I remember they had a match against the Street Profits on some PPV last year. I was excited because I am a fan of both teams. What I got was a terrible comedy cinematic match that I'm sure Vince enjoyed. While I was reminded to never get excited any time WWE promotes a tag match that isn't the Usos vs New Day. PLEASE get Hanson and Rowe out of WWE immediately. They would fit in nicely on the tag team friendly AEW roster. They've worked with a lot of the current AEW roster in ROH and NJPW, where Hanson and Rowe were awesome BTW. Add Hanson and Rowe to the "How TF Did WWE Ruin This / These Guys?!" list. Big, athletic, hard hitting guys that look like bad asses. I've always joked that Rowe looks like a guy that is undefeated in fights at biker bars. How is that not a license to print money in pro wrestling?! 🤦♂️ She wants Ivarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and not Erikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk she wants the smoke oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh

The egg was the end result of a marketing deal in which the thing that WWE got out of the deal couldn't be there and then WWE was still forced to do their own stupid little gimmick.
Had The Rock showed up in the end, it would have made a lot more sense, but apparently he couldn't make it but the contract said WWE still had to do that dumb promotion for the movie.

It's going to be hilarious when she debuts as Jennifer Jenkins or some shit. Aurora Helmsley's a pretty badass wrestling name. I suspect they'll lean into it if she actually follows through. I mean I feel like she could just be "Aurora Rose" no?

OK, I need to know what this is about Roman Reigns was pissed that he was gone for one week and The Usos lost. The New Day come out and Woods challenges Jimmy (the one who got pinned last week) to a singles match. If Woods wins, Jimmy Uso has to kneel down before him (his king). If Jimmy wins, Woods has to kneel down before The Tribal Chief. Woods wins with a rollup and a handful of tights (after the Usos tried to cheat). Then right before Jimmy could kneel, Reigns came out and beat the shit out of Woods. Telling him to never cheat again against the Bloodline.

Weren’t they interested in her like two years ago? That was back when she was relevant. These days she's just a crappy prize fighter whose main income is basically influencer / Onlyfans knockoff

Seriously though, that handspring into the clothesline was pretty cool. Maybe he should change his name to Joe Gracie and have a gimmick where he is married to Eve Torres' little sister. Wouldn't her sister's last name be Torres?

Americans dedication to being servants never ceases to amaze me. Huh? There are financial reasons that some talent would rather be classified as independent contractors, with less restrictions than WWE has on them right now of course. As far as unionizing, there are undoubtedly pros and cons and whether it would be a benefit is usually very specific to an industry/workforce. I’ve worked with a lot of employers where bargaining unit employees decide to leave/disband the union. One such thing being if WWE had to give its wrestlers health insurance, they easily can be like "not our f***ing problem anymore if you get hurt, you figure it out yourself" instead of just paying for surgeries and whatnot themselves like they always do.

Thats way too much to ask for apparently As someone else pointed out, likely many people, it felt like that was the easiest crowd win you could have done. And I'm trying not to put it in shallow terms because of the implications but it just all makes sense to just find a spot for it. Just have Vega come out, squash a local goon or fight Carmella in a dark match or whatever and the crowd would be happy and her family would be too. It felt like a misfire WWE wouldn't usually do in that regard, you know. Herein lies the problems: 1. Zelina was scheduled to have a match presumably in between the Edge/Rollins match and the main event. Meaning, there was no reason to give her a dark match before the show "just in case" as there was no reason to assume she wouldn't wrestle. 2. Edge/Rollins went too long and there was not much else to cut from the show after it besides the main event. While they could have done that, the main event was also a title match advertised in advance and they'd still have to figure out how to quickly get the women into the ring and then have a short match for the sake of having it. Cutting anything before Edge/Rollins wouldn't have made sense, especially since the 10 man tag looked like it itself already had been gutted with there being no entrances and the match being about 4 minutes of TV time. 3. Madison Square Garden is very strict about its rules and curfew, meaning WWE almost certainly could not have added a match after the show as they basically HAVE to leave when they're schedule to leave. It's overall a crappy situation, but in terms of the structure of the show, the only reason to have it was for Zelina and not because there was any actual reason for that match to happen. In hindsight, they should have just given her a dark match before the show instead. But I don't think there was malice or anything intended, just a shitty situation that the strictness of Fox and MSG didn't allow them to remedy.

All over playing video games. Say it with me... they wouldn't let him PLAY VIDEO GAMES. AND STREAM IT. So they let him walk to the rival company. Xavier Woods, my dude, keep your options open as f*** with your gaming empire on the rise... To play devil's advocate, the second they let Cole stream on the main roster is the second that EVERYONE else demands it in their contracts too. So it's not a matter of "They won't let him stream" so much as "They aren't willing to give up a company wide policy exclusively just to keep Adam Cole" who probably was gonna get paid more by AEW anyway

Honestly, if Sasha does in fact have *you know what* and isn't *you know whated* then WWE was in a shitty position no matter what. They obviously wanted to do something cool and Bianca squashing Carmella or anyone else again would do absolutely nothing. Becky coming back and wrestling in an unadvertised match would also be incredibly stupid. So Sasha kinda f***ed them if it is in fact her own fault she can't compete.
