Actually, it was Hogan and the Rock. I remember it well, because, while Kane was still speaking, Rock looked straight at the camera, raised an eyebrow and mouthed the word, "Kanenites?!?" with a WTF-look on his face. Priceless. One of my favorite bits. I've found it: Edited:Linked to WWE footage

Yeah, really. Kane's been deserving for a DAMN long time. I hope he manages to win one of the main belts, but I won't get my hopes up too high.

That's pretty damn good.
Would have given Kane the monster push he needs.

This PPV has gotten so much crap since it was announced, and I want to set the record VERY straight.I'm not posting in the "Play by Play" thread because these idiots went completely off-subject.Maybe thats a bit harsh, since some did talk about it,but for the most part they completely derailed, specially since the PPV is arguably the best one this year.Im gonna leave the idiot reference there because a part of me still feels that way. Anyways,on to the review.
1.Carlito vs Shelton Benjamin
A very solid opening match. As big of a Carlito fan as I am,I can't overlook the fact he needs some work in the ring. But Carlito showed improvement in a match that lasted about 13 minutes, more than I would have thought it would be given.Carlito reminded me of old-school wrestling.Alot of holds and slams, but not in a way that would seem untalented or boring.A good finish having Carlito use a mixture of his smarts and cheating ways.He unties the turnbuckle pad and moves out of the way when Shelton attempts the stinger splash and eats the steel. As much as a factor people thought it would be going into the match,Shelton showed little to no injury from the spot on last week's RAW.Good Opener. Official rating:7.5/10
2.Victoria vs Christy
I'll admit I didnt expect much when going into this, but these 2 entertained me here.As bad as some will say it was,I'll confess and say I think this was a very good women's match.Christy seems to have improved greatly since Wrestlemania.and she got some okay offense here.Victoria dominated most of the match, and it was great seeing her back to her psycho self.I marked out a bit when Christy delivered a PERFECTLY EXECUTED DDT. She showed she is willing to learn, which is good considering the women's division right now.Victoria wins by using the ropes, the only thing I disliked here. Not a good match by overall standards, but enjoyable and watchable. Official rating:6.5
3.Edge vs Kane
As much as I enjoy this storyline,I have to agree that it makes little sense.Likewise,it was good to see that Edge and Kane put on a good performance here. The match consisted mostly of brawling, with some idiotic "WE Want Matt!" chants that made me disgusted. Not to get quickly off-topic in my own thread, but Hardy is treated like a god since he made this publicly known. He was okay, but nowhere near main-event status as some made him to be out of sympothy.Back to the match,it was very entertaining.A Snitzky interference around the end, which made the match a little better.Kane wins with a chokeslam after Edge accidently hits Gene with a ring bell.Good action here. Official Rating:8
4.Kurt Angle vs Shawn Micheals
An absolutely awesome and dramatic match.I consider it as good as the Wrestlemania one.It was a few minutes shorter, but the action was VERY good. You have alittle more brawling in this one as opposed to the Wrestlemania match, but it still had good wrestling. So many close falls and so many good spots.Whether it was Angle german-suplexing Micheals into the announce table,Angle powerbombing HBK into the turnbuckle,Micheals hanging in the ankle lock for about 2 minutes. Those 2 minutes were the most dramatic I've felt in YEARS.I thought he was gonna quit twice in a row,and it was more dramatic knowing HBK already tapped once,so seeing whether he would do it again was very heart-pounding[no pun intended].A match that will have you at the edge of your seat the whole way.HBK wins after some sweet chin music in mid-air when Kurt attempts an aerial manuever. One of my favorite matches along with the original. Some may argue calling it a classic, but it has everything a classic needs and more. Offical Rating:10
5.Viscera/Lillian Segment
Very entertaining for me.Seeing a woman propose to a man was hilarious to me,and the surprise return of the Godfather had me marking out like a little girl. There,I said it,I was a little girl for a good couple of minutes. But it was worth it seeing the Ho Train back,Viscera chooses the Hoe's in the end, leaving Lillian crying.I really like Lillian,so seeing her not go with Viscera was a relief to me.Those were some good looking ho's...... King:HES GOT SOME HO'S WITH HIM!!!!!! had me agree with him. Official Rating:8
6.John cena vs Chris Jericho vs Christian
Man was this good.I knew this was going to be very entertaining, and boy was I right.Cena showed some better movesd in here, and actually used more strategy.Tomko was banned in the first few minutes, something I thought would hinder the match. Everybody had their moments in this match, and neither Y2J nor christian ended up looking weak.It lasted alot longer than i thought it would.Greats spots included a Powerbomb/Superplex combination including all 3,and the VERY climactic finish. They all wrestled a great match despite the small build-up for it.A very fun performance all around. Official rating:8.75
7.Triple H vs Batista
This has become one of my favorite matches of all time. I hate how much crap this match was given when 90% of the people who said these things did'nt even bother to watch it.Well,Im happy to say you were all wrong.I'm gonna love rubbing this in your faces for months to come.In all more seriousness[which I was being] this match was very barbaric and very suspenseful.I can understand that the last 2 matches were'nt exactly great, but these 2 are'nt suited to fight in a normal match, and I knew as soon as it was announcedI these two would go great in a HIAC match. Both are good brawlers, and they showed it in an amazing performance here at Vengeance.I kid you not folks. The 3rd time was definetly the charm.Alot of blood, alot of moves, alot of weapons, alot of close falls and alot of well done drama made this an incredible thing to watch.I was very surprised that batista won for the third time, and it concluded the feud perfectly.A real epic. Official rating:9.5
Overall, this is the best PPV of the Year, and one of my favorite of all time. Not a single embarassing or crappy moment, all the matches were well done considering the expectations, and lasted alot longer than I thought it would[same lenght as the Royal Rumble].I earlier said that Wrestlemnia was probally the only one better than it,but Wrestlemnia had some bad moments,as opposed to Vengeance that had [arguably to some, not my opinion however] just the women's match or Viscera segment, both which I liked.Everybody should see this.

I guess you got a point there.Maybe he does need a break, and I'm all for it if it gives him time to go back to the way he was.

I'm a huge Kane mark.I hate when people say that he sucks just because his character has been milked or because he jobs so much. It's not his decision wether he goes over or not,so bringing that f***ing "point" up over and over again. He just needs to go through a change, possibly getting burned again.
Glen Jacobs, aka Kane has gone through so many crappy things and has for some reason done his best.I can say that if I were in his position I'd be doing a half-assed job,but he does the most with it,wether the execution is bad or not.Kane can put on really good performances, like the cage match last week. They have just been having some problem with his character is all.The guy is still usefull, and I think very deserving of a title run, yes, even more than Jericho or anyone else I can think of at the moment. He just needs to be a heel, and technically it's not he puts himself over as a face, that is JR's doing and such.kane himself has never really done anything face-like,he's always been violent and demented, yet he gets cheered. He just needs to be a rampaging monster again. He's not useless,he just needs to be given a run with a ball. Not anything mindblowing lie JBL's reign but at least SOMETHING meaningfull.

Kane actually kicked out of it TWICE at Wrestlemania XIV.He also kicked out right after the 3 count.
I don't think anyone has kicked out of theRikishi's BANZAI drop, along with Yokozuna for that matter.
HBK kicked out of the Pedigree also I believe.

I have to say Taker barely edges Kane out. Both are at the top of my fave wrestlers ever,so it was a hard decision

I agree with ^^^^
The Kane/Lita/Edge/Matt/Snitzky storyline may make no sense,no matter how much of an edge and Kane mark I am,it makes little sense. But at least its entertaining *dodges molotov cocktail* and that why the Diva Search will win again this year.

I love people that claim to hate WWE and love TNA, when TNA can be just as bad. Hate Triple H? I present Jeff Jarrett. Hate Brian Gerwitz? I present Dusty Rhodes. Hate Jerry Lawler and/or Michael Cole? I present Don "DID YOU SEE THAAAAT!!!" West. Hate older wrestlers taking up valuable TV time in WWE? I present Kevin Nash, DDP, BG James, and several others. Hate generic hosses like Snitsky and Heidenreich? I present Trytan. I could go on forever. jarret not the champ dusty is gone most of the older wrestlers are non existant now but tna has abyss and hoyt to pretty good big men oh wait who is the champion aj styles who is x division champ christopher daniels Triple H is not the champ either{even though he hopefully will be} I like Abyss and Hoytt, but as far as "good big men" go they have nothing on Undertaker or Kane That may be true, but never count out the old guys Shelton is the Ic champ,London is the cruserweight champ,Hurri and Rosey are the world tag champs and MNM are the WWE tag champs. It doesnt mean anything if Aj or Daniels are good champions, the WWE has some good ones too. Sorry if it sounds like Im ranting and you didnt commentate on that guy who has more "BAW GADS!!!!!" than JR

Yeah you have a point, but that was the first "extreme" match,if you will, the WWE had back in 1998.There were no thumbtacks before in the WWE,or falling off cages{I mean FALLING} and the crowd and announcers made it even that much more perfect.
Taker/HBK,wasnt that the one where Kane made his debut?
