May was the month for Judgment Day for a good ten years, and prior to the brand extension, they had some pretty hot cards.

Whenever you have to harp on a wrestler's "athleticism", more often than not, they are trash. That and potential. Either way, it's saying "that boy/girl has the goods to be great; goddamn if you can't see it in their match, though." Sad thing is, that doesn't apply to Naomi because she's not green as goose shit. If anything, the "potential" line much more applies to BTB (Big Titty Bella).

He did say he had some friends and enemies in the police department. Maybe his friends were in the NYPD while his enemies were in Nassau County.

I always liked Kata Hajime. For whatever reason, when Taz used this move in ECW as the Tazmission, Joey usually used both names, which kind of defeated the purpose of giving it a unique name. That would be like saying, "The Sharpshooter! The Sasori-gatame!" every time Bret Hart used the Sharpshooter or "The Double-Underhook Facebuster! The Pedigree!" every time Triple H hit the Pedigree. I mean, it kinda works if you consider the wrestling moves with the technical name right next to the unique name (i.e. Diamond Cutter, Stone Cold Stunner, Crippler Crossface). Not so much when the technical name is as complex as "Double Underhook Facebuster," tho. That said, Kata Hajime > Tazmission, if you ask me. My favorite, though: SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR!

I also hated her slags towards Naomi. Actually, I hate anytime when wrestlers acknowledge that they're supposed to "have personality and be entertaining." I know kayfabe is dead but on the show they still pretend the wrestling matters right? Why would you need to entertain? Why are you stealing the show Dolph? Rollins is a dirty cheater and winning. Not necessarily the same thing. Even in UFC, with seven separate divisions, not only do fighters wanna be the best, they wanna be the hottest name out there and be the one putting on the Match of the Night every night. There's room for that in wrestling, not parallel with being the best wrestler, but right along with it. The Rock not only made himself out to be the best wrestler in the room, but the most "electrifying" as well.

Delivery wise, I didn't think it was quite as bad as it's been hyped up here, "Town of England" not withstanding. The line about Tamina being in the wrong division was really bad, especially since it contradicted what Paige was doing before Wrestlemania. You know, how she and AJ were the "freaks and geeks" and how that's what real women look like, and yet it's not even June yet and she's making insults about another Diva's unconventional look. My thoughts exactly. Her opener wasn't completely horrible - it wasn't so much "Town of England" so much as it was "hometown of England... in London," since she probably caught herself, realizing England wasn't a "hometown." The "Tamina's a man" thing, though. Way to B.A.STAR, Paige... Naomi killed it, though. I'm pulling so hard for her to walk out Diva's Champion. If we've got ANOTHER month to live with McMahon/Bella Drama Part Deux, I'm gonna be hella disappointed.

What? Does anyone seriously believe they'd have the title change hands for free subscribers? Free subscribers that are getting two free PPVs? Title's have changed hands on RAW television before.

That's the most local Kane's been since the Royal Rumble. In very short order, Kane has become the most painfully ubiquitous and obnoxiously untouchable member of a stable that includes Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Think about that for a second. How can you be untouchable and end Payback on your face at the same time? That's more touched than Trips has been since Mania XXX and Steph has been since being thrown in a mud pool on some RAW...

I mainly remember this theme for being his theme in Day of Reckoning 2. It was also random as hell next to all the various "royal pomp" themes. Speaking of, this theme is a personal favorite of mine for Regal, although it was short lived. Based on the intro (similar thoughts on the vid description), this was probably an early version of his signature "Villain" theme.

He's only been back for less than three months and I'm already so bored by Randy Orton. I came to the realization at Fast Lane that I'm more excited about the idea of Randy Orton than I am about the reality of him. It's confusing, but stick with me. While watching Fast Lane, when Orton's music hit, I was amped to see him back in a WWE ring for the first time in four months. And then, he hit the ring and the air was out of the balloon. It was just the same Randy Orton we've had since 2009. A few RKOs, a rambling promo on Raw the next night that went absolutely nowhere, capped off by a few more RKOs. Lather, rinse, repeat. Orton is either my favorite wrestler who's never had an exciting match or my least favorite wrestler who's never had a terrible match. I still don't know for sure. People argue about John Cena's character not evolving in years, but what about Orton? Aside from alignment, what about Randy Orton today is any different than Randy Orton at this time six years ago? I honestly would rather see Roman Reigns getting a one-on-one feud with Seth Rollins than Orton interjecting himself. Reigns may not be 100 percent ready to be the main event star they expected him to become, but it's at least a breath of fresh air. Honestly, I think the only reason Orton doesn't get as much guff as Cena does for having the exact same problem is solely that Orton occasionally turns heel and this ruse about him being "cooler" because he kicks people in the head sometimes. *shrug* I get the idea of the three hours being the problem, but if that were the case, three-hour (four, in the case of WrestleMania) PPV's should be lethal, but they're not. Further, I usually watch the condensed RAWs on HULU the night after - they're only ninety minutes, and I'm still exhausted by the main event. The whole show, from top to bottom, really feels plodding sometimes and just drags from beginning to end: From the opening Orton/Corporate Rehash dragging promo to the closing Orton/Corporate Rehash dragging main event (spoiler: Rollins wins with the assist and gets RKOed). I get the whole "blame Kane" thing (well, not really, but there's no point in arguing it), but if you think you can make THAT a winning formula just by removing Kane, you're only fooling yourself. Orton AND the Corporate Rehash, save Rollins, need to be removed from the main event scene, and someone fresh needs to be put in it's place. Rollins in a main event program with an endless roster of underutilized talent (Ambrose, Reigns, Ziggler, Barrett, Miz, etc.) could be a winning program and could get some steam around it if you get rid of the albatrosses of Da Guys in Suits You Oughta Respect and Randy Orton.
