Makes zero business sense for them to do so.

I think they should put it to a PPV every 2 months as it would make those PPV's more special and give the wrestlers more resting time aswell

I might add that with so many PPV's every year, the cards for them seem so lackluster. Back when WWE did maybe five pay per views in a year, they were always big events. The last REALLY great Wrestlemania card I can remember was in 98. Just about every match on that show was huge and hyped up. Nowadays, with so many PPV's, the shows are far less important.

I support the notion of slightly reducing the number of PPVs. I think asking for only 5 is ridiculous, but 10-12 is not unreasonable.
I do like the notion of making undercard titles the co-main events at lesser PPVs, while making just the right to earn a shot at the WWE or WHC titles a big deal.
I know, I know...what do you do with the champs on the PPVs that they do not defend their belts? They can use the same tactics that they use on the TV shows with them (tag matches, handicap matches, any other type of non-title match, etc.) and change the role of the champ on the TV shows. The champs should be treated as a special attraction, much the same way that UT is now and Hogan was back in the day. It just might help make a difference in sales of the bigger PPVs. It also will help elevate the main event players since just being in a title match will now be an accomplishment.

No, it's counterproductive and they would lose a lot of money. What they should do is make the lesser ppvs into "In Your House" style events where there is mini-feuds for the belts and sometimes six man tag team matches.

They should, but they won't because they do really good numbers as far as gates and merchandise.

They should stop all their PPV events and go back to closed circuit TV. Then they should drop the cable programming and go back to syndication and squash matches. Then they should stop holding events at big arenas and go back to the schedule of having shows at high school gyms for local fundraising events.

Anyone else besides me miss the good ole classic days of WWF where there were less PPV's a year, thus the matches would seem much bigger and have a much MUCH bigger build up as well? These days it seems like the PPV's have lost there "greatness", with the exception of Wrestlemania of course. Its almost like as soon as one PPV is over, boom, here comes the next one, giving no time for new feuds to build up to colossal proportions like back in the day. What do you all think? Oh without a doubt. Having so many pay-per-views clogged up all in a short time span really takes the excitement and anticipation out of the whole experience. All they need is the big 4, and maybe 3 other ones.

Yeah, WWE could perhaps not have a PPV the month before Wrestlemania and sell it by saying that the wrestlers have all asked for "more time to train going into Wrestlemania".

It would be nice for WWE to use less Pay Per Views, but that would mean jacking up the price of the Big 5 or 6 left (probably charging near a $100 or MORE, seeing how much revenue pay-per-views generate). I would like for WWE to go back to the separate brand PPV's like they did in 03-early 07. That way, each brand can build up their feuds nicely and not have it seem rushed (I think in time ECW will be absorbed into Smackdown anyhow).
