as soon as they took him off of the old-school hanging mic, he became smurfing boring... maybe if he had won at amageddon, and had a program working right now, things would be righting themselves. but right now, i'd rather see cody rhodes.

For the last freakin time KENNEDY DID NOT INJURE BOBBY LASHLEY! REPORTS CLAIMED THAT LASHLEY WAS INJURED EVEN PRIOR TO WRESTLEMANIA. GET OVER IT! I KNOW YOU DON'T LIKE KENNEDY BUT HE DID NOT HURT LASHLEY OR CENA! You're like one of those people who hated Kurt Angle because they believe that he LEGIT broke Scotty 2 Hottie's ankle in a match, when in reality it was a way to get him to take time off for a nagging neck injury. Wow try to not seem like such a mark. Mark! Unless you're a worker then you shouldn't walk around calling people marks. Especially on a board that is made of 95% marks. Kennedy sandbags so bad. But back on topic, Kennedy lost all his momentum when Edge took his MITB and I highly doubt you'll ever see him get it back either. All that's left for Kennedy is a face turn and a trip to OVW or whatever that new Developmental fed is.

Ooh, do we not sail on a ship of fools? Ooh, why is life so precious and so cruel?
No, seriously: if Kennedy does not drop the ball he will be fine. A push to the moon is unnecessary, but if he keeps up the good work and keeps kissing corporate asses I am pretty sure that he will be world champ one day.

Kennedy is fine, the man has so much charisma and although he isn't the greatest in the ring he is pretty good.

Nah, but it'll take a while to get his momentum back. The HBK feud is a good step.

I can't see this being a full blown 'feud' with HBK. Probably just a way to get HBK some momentum back after jobbing to Orton. I wouldn't be surprised if they moved on after this, and I can't see Kennedy getting a win over HBK.
The reason Kennedy's momentum has died is because I think he has probably had about 2 meaningful wins in about 5 months. Lashley and Jeff Hardy at Cyber Sunday. Every other match he has put on a good show but jobs, and the average fan won't remember the good show.
It's annoying that he was going to be pushed for Wrestlemania this year and it's had to stop, but I don't think he should be a total jobber for the next 6 months. Give him a good IC title run, gaining some Hardy like momentum for a title shot, perhaps at Summerslam. I would have had him end Flair's career if he got the win over HBK last night, but it's too late to put a good run together for that now, it will cheapen his retirement.

One of the major issues I have with Kennedy is that the man just can't seem to come up with a good finisher. I mean, Austin didn't have the Stunner to begin with, Rock used a Shoulder Breaker...but it shouldn't be this hard for Kennedy to figure out something to use that is quick and nasty looking. The top rope Green Bay Plunge is awesome, but again, it's a move that's just too difficult to set up, and the same is said for the standing variation. I'd like to see Kennedy bring back the DDT or some old school move and use that as his finish. We haven't seen anyone use a sick neckbreaker in awhile. Something.

nope he will never win the big one. IC title sure. I see Hardy dropping that before the Rumble and he'll be the one to take it. I just don't see the guy as a world champ. That's what I said about Jeff Hardy when he was fighting Taker for the Undisputed Title a while back. But now he's going for the WWE title. Goes to show anything can happen...

True, but there was a 5 year gap in between and also he was gone from the company a couple of years as well, so at one point it didn't seem likely he'd even be back in WWE.

Between getting caught in his lie and then being involved in Cena's injury, he is lucky that he hasn't been wished well in his future endeavors

Every wrestler hits a little plateau right before they go huge where they seem stuck on that upper mid card status.
That's where Kennedy would seem to be right now. To me him feuding with Michaels right now reminds me of Austin feuding with Bret Hart right before he went onto his feud with Michaels.

I think Vinny & Co. have enough faith in the guy to give him a second chance and try to push him as a main eventer again.

Probably. Shawn Michaels has a way of doing that to people's careers.

His match last night showed his potential in my opinion. HBK's match with Chris Masters showed Masters had potential....

The injury and suspension certainly didn't help, especially since the injury took place right after the Money in the Bank push and the suspension took place right before his reported push as Vince's son (which potentially could also have been bad for his career, we'll never know).

IMO it was a paper ship but many of us thought it was the Queen Mary 2... Or the Titanic Seriously, I've never found him interesting... rarely entertaining, few good matches, a lot of unexplained hype for an IC-champion-at-best. I second the "Holly making a poor impersonation of the Rock" theory

He was never on the main event ship in the first place.
He's on the same boat as The British Bulldog, Ahmed Johnson and X-pac.
[/stupid boat analogy]
