To be fair, Shane McMahon is also said to have grown up on the mean streets of Greenwich with the Posse. that was the joke of it though, but with cena they actually expect us to be stupid enough to believe that this wigger actually comes from the streets, it really made me sick at wm22 when they tried to build it up as a 'gangster' with a tough upbringing defeating the odds against a guy who had it all and everything going for him, when in reality cenas a spoiled white kid from the suburbs who went to boarding school Yeah, those liars... also, Akeem was not actually from the jungle.

In the orignal DX, they still called him Hunter Hearst Helmsley sometimes But I thought it always standed for Hunter Has Hemeroids(who remembers that sign ) lol

I remember one of Cena's appearances a couple of years ago on The Best Damn Sports Show. They were hassling him about his childhood versus what his character would have us believe. Cena was joking with them...and mentioned that his childhood was not as rough as his character would have us believe...
...so at least he gets the joke, even if some of us do not!

I also never got what a pedigree had to do with a double-underhook facebuster. The Stunner and Rock Bottom are perfect names to describe the move, as is the Mandible Claw and others. But when I hear "pedigree" I think of dog food commercials. From a writing standpoint, I always liked the name. His character is that of an upper class snob, and traditionally fighters tend to be from a lower class. The finishing move forces his opponent's face down in a kind of bow, and is stuck there until he's knocked out.

The name Hunter Hearst Helmsley reeks of money and privilege. And it predates "Hollywood Hulk Hogan". Our Man H has done quite well for himself. We can all learn from him the value of visible study of the next level.

When was the last time anyone in WWE said his full name? I don't know why they shy away from it so much. I can definitely understand a new fan watching WWE and wondering what the hell HHH stands for. Shh. We're supposed to have forgotten about that. He's no longer a "blueblood". Now he's.... Well... What the hell is his character? A guy who kills people's...cerebellums?

Guys I'm from West Newberry. The only time that I remember his character (not the commentators) really ever saying that he was from the mean streets was while he doing the whiteboy heel character.

The face Cena never brings up stuff like that. Just freakin Jim Ross for some reason. And I wouldn't say spoiled the right word. He's seems like a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. Aside from a beer here and there, and occasionally referencing to having pre-marital sex, he seems pretty straight and narrow.
