Speaking of the "Culture Warrior", and the obvious parallels it has to actual wrestling, I had the most bizarre dream about this last night. Apparently the "pinhead" thing had somehow worked it's way into my subconcious, and in my dream, some other "news" show had tracked down, of all people, Edge, to get his reaction to the thing. Edge proceeded to cut a rambling wrestling style promo on everything from Bill O'Reilly to the Presidential election to the Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy. Except it wasn't really an "Edge" promo. Squeeze together the worst parts of Edge, Hulk Hogan, and the Ultimate Warrior on the mic, and then you have the promo I heard. I woke up laughing my ass off. You should have RD analyze that right away. Is there a thread for that I'm not seeing somewhere? |

In the three or four times I've seen anything with Bill O'Reilly (I'm English, hense hes irrelevant to me), I've wanted within five minutes for a juggarnaut to flatten him.

I listen and watch O'Reilly for entertainment. It fascinates me how someone can dumb down complex issues to the point of the most simplistic retardation. Also everytime he refers to himself as a "Culture Warrior". I always get an image of him in face paint running down the ring and shaking the ropes like a mad man. Half the time I think it's O'Reilly who's actually satirizing Steven Colbert. I heard about O'Reilly bragging about his ratings time and time again, then I actually looked it up. While his show is number one or thereabouts on American cable news, it only attracts about two million actual viewers, unless I've read America's rating system incorrectly.
In a country with over 300 million people, that's not a very impressive rating.
Makes me see that whatever views this dude espouses, his actual support among Americans is tiny, and in no way reflects the majority view.

He's the president of his own fan club.
Bill, a member of the mainstream media has a low opinion of anything wrestling related.
He's entertaining to watch because you never know what he's going to do next, when that little vein in his head might pop out.

WWE should do a weekly segment called "The Layfield View" based on "The O'Reilly Factor"
Every week, JBL will comment on various world issues (the more controversial and bigoted the better) and offer his opinions on the current happenings in the WWE (mainly insults against other wrestlers for the marks, and some insider references for the smarks).
