Mach;s promos were never even close to as insane as Warriors. They were intense and nutty, but at least he stayed on topic. Warrior was so busy talking about lawn mowers and crashing planes that his point was often lost. You at least knew what Savage was getting at most of the time.

I found this clip that I thought was very interesting. It's Vince McMahon giving a short farewell to Randy on Raw. I can't believe that after all these years those two guys couldn't bury the hatchet and give Macho the tribute and respect he deserves. youtube.com/watch?v=36n1Gc92CzI&feature=relatedThat is quite the disgusted look Vince has on his face right at the end of that clip. He doesn't look very sincere.

It's because Snake Roberts ruined his marriage.

as non-sensical as his promos were, they were actually spot on and awesome at the same time. Also he's the greatest in-ring worker of all time. so you know..

Warrior is just as insane as Bob Backlund.... difference is, Warrior is annoying insane... and Backlund is lovable insane.
Savage was an incredible worker, his body language was beyond comparison (who didn't get a little choked up in the aftermath of the Warrior/Savage match at WM7. Without one word being uttered, you got an entire story between himself and Elizabeth.)
Plus, aside from the Steph rumors that are still far from being true... he's generally well-liked in the industry. Basically the only people who seem to really dislike him and have bad things to say about him have pretty shady records themselves.
Plus, Warrior has buried himself on a consistent basis through his own website, where Savage just seems eccentric. He genuinely enjoyed being a wrestler and being Randy Savage... whereas Warrior almost seems shamed by his wrestling past, until somebody calls him on it.

Macho man was an essential part of wrestling in my opinion. He was around for a long time and really added a lot to the WWF in general. Though he was overshadowed by Hogan he still did quite well for himself for an extended period. He's got high name recognition, most non wrestling fans know who he is.
Regarding the level of crap he gets, he's just never taken it anywhere near the level Warrior has...there isn't much comparison.

I would love a Savage vs Michaels match. Just if they put him in the HOF. Shawn will go over of course, with enough money.

1. Savage was great in the ring, at least in his day. This counts for a lot.
2. Warrior is an insane, possibly racist, person. His name is Warrior. He defines the word idiot.

Because he is easily one of the best workers of the 80s. Once he started wearing a cowboy hat, it went downhill from there.
