If TNA were to get the proper booking and talent then change it's name and lose the six sided ring and then get some fantastic backing and a slot on prime time network tv why they could easily put WWE out of business in 15-20 years.

Put everybody working for the WWE in Titan Towers. Drop a nuke. WWE is destroyed.

I love that there are people who actually think the six-sided ring makes the slightest bit of difference either way.

Well, if I'm to believe Michael Cole and Jim Ross in the video games, it would be the fans. If everyone stopped watching, stopped buying tickets and merch no more WWE.

It would take a downfall of the industry as a whole to do it. I really don't think any company can come along and "kill" WWE. If they fall, it will be on their own from within. I totally agree with that! The only thing that can destroy the WWE is the WWE itself. Viewing figures are certainly down from ten years ago but apparently no matter what they do (read Katie Vick) there are still people who love wrestling

yeah, I think it would take a massive collapse, or at th every least a major change, in the business for it to happen. I don't imagine we'd see it any time soon, they still make a whole hell of a lot of money.

Nothing short of government intervention on monpolization, lawsuits out the ying yang and monkeys running the company.
After all, they've got their DVD library to fall back on.

I disagree with the notion that only the WWE can hurt itself. All it will take is for a vastly wealthy person or a major corporation to get a nice television slot and advertise to the disgruntled fans who miss the old NWA type wrestling days as an example. The new company would have to market their brand as an alternative to sports entertainment. This time I don't think the WWE will be able to rely on another Attitude Era to save itself. New competition would at least force the WWE to amp up its product. A new wrestling organization that would promote lasting storylines, fueds and stables would really perk the interest of many wrestling fans. The one advantage though Vince has is stability. Because no matter how successful a new corporation backed promotion may be it only takes a board vote to get rid of the hypothetical organization whereas the McMahons have chartered a life of wrestling in their blood.

In all honesty, there is something other than WWE or competition that could conceivably destroy WWE-television. Quite simply, if USA and CW both dropped WWE at once, that would pretty much be it. Sure, they are a million dollar company, but if the fate of WCW has showed us anything, it is that without a television slot, wrestling is worthless. If WWE lost all its television, that would, very likely, be it. Period.

WWE, and Vinnie Mac in particular, has too much money to die anytime soon. It would take about 15-20 years of MAJOR losses for the company to die. I don't care who's running the place.

The only reason WWE still exists is because Chuck Norris allows it to.

Vince's death. Unless Shane takes control (for some reason, he strikes me as more capable), WWE will go down in the toilet. Steph has proven she has no idea what she's doing, but maybe if the whole legacy is riding on her shoulders, she'll make a good decision.
