Predictions for 2008

the IWC will think that 2008 will be the worst year in wrestling history

-shane mcmahon will return to the ring, as will big show and RVD.
-santino morella will turn face, but keep his current character.
-CM Punk vs shelton benjamin will be ECWs feud of the year.
-the draft will screw over smackdown again.
-john cena will join the kiss my ass club.
-by the end of the year, we'll all love the mjor brothers/edgeheads.
-the cruiserweight title won't come back.
-finlay will turn heel on hornswaggle.
-MVP will have anew finisher.
-ric flair will be mr. money in the bank.
-the raw tag division still won't get much air.
-colt cabana will be IC champion.

Well, Sister Bernadette will leave the convent and start a softball team, with sexy results. Also:
* The following will no longer be with WWE by the end of the year: The Great Khaleeto, Chavo Guerrero, Jamie Noble, Snitsky.
* The following will get World or WWE title shots on PPV: HHH, Jeff Hardy, Orton, Jericho, Samoa Joe, CM Punk.
* Oh, right, the following will debut for WWE: Colt Cabana, Samoa Joe, and late in the year, the Briscoe Brothers.
* Londrick will disband, being part of an emerging revival of the cruiserweight division.
* CM Punk will lose the ECW title before Summerslam, but will hold the either the US or Intercontinental championships.
* Batista will not end the year in the main event scene, and will be a member of ECW's roster at some point.

And only then do we find out that Professor Galloway's half sister is plotting to take over International Perfume and Wine.

At the Royal Rumble, Edge and Randy Orton will successfully defend their championships against Jeff Hardy and Batista respectively. Triple H will win the Royal Rumble, and CM Punk will beat Chavo Guerrero by disqualification to retain the ECW title.

At No Way Out, Undertaker will beat Rey Mysterio, a returning RVD, Kane, The Great Khali, and Batista in the Elimination Chamber to earn a title shot at WM24. Triple H and Flair will beat Mark Henry, Umaga, and Big Daddy V in a Hadicap match where Flair must get the win or he'll have to retire. Orton will beat Hardy in a Rumble rematch to retain the WWE Title. MVP will beat Finlay, and then be attacked by Matt Hardy, setting up WM24.

At WM24, Undertaker beats Edge, Trips beats Orton, and Punk retains Shelton and Chavo. Both Hardys win their respective matches, and Hogan slams Khali. Santino has his breakout match, a very close loss to HBK, while Lashley beats Big Daddy V. Batista gives Flair his sendoff, as he performs in his best match since Hell in a Cell with Trips. Jericho completes his comeback with a huge win over JBL, and Candace and Beth wow the crowd with a fantastic Cage match, with Candace regaining the Women's Title.

On Raw, established stars like Jeff Hardy, Trips, Orton, Umaga, Jericho, and HBK battle for the WWE title, while Santino, Kennedy, Carlito, Cody, and Snitsky feud over Carlito's IC Title. Cade and Murdoch feud with Super Crazy and Val Venis over the Tag Titles, while Candace fends off Beth, Jillian and Mickie until ONS, where Jillian wins the title in a Strap Match. In the Draft, Daddy V, Noble, Michelle McCool, and Deuce & Domino move to Raw.

On Smackdown, Undertaker and Edge continue feuding for the World title, culminating at ONS in a Barbed Wire match. Matt Hardy feuds with Kenny and Palumbo over the US title, before losing it back to MVP at Vengeance. Teddy Long resumes his duties as GM and revives the Cruiserweight Title, renamed the Freestyle championship. The champion is allowed to decide how he(or she) defends the belt. In the finals of the tournament, John Morrison beats The Miz in a ladder match for the title at ONS. At the same time, Miz and Morrison remain tag champs, feuding with Kane and Mysterio. In the Draft, Kelly, Hacksaw, Londrick, and Kofi Kingston move to Smackdown.

On ECW, Punk feuds with Shelton, leading to a Last Man Standing match at ONS. In the draft, Palumbo, Cody Rhodes, and Maria move to ECW.

Boogeyman, Torrie, Nunzio, and Burchill are released, and Stevie, Taylor, and Dreamer take office jos, retiring from active competiton.
