Inspired by all those "End The Brand Extention" weekly threads, I decided to give it a new twist. I don't want the brand extention to end(though they can nix ECW). It helps develop newcomers as well as rising talent(MVP, Santino, etc). However, it wouldn't hurt to have one set of championships considering how thin each roster is. Here's how I would do it.
Combine the WWE, World, and ECW titles: Face it, on RAW the only World title contenders were Cena, Triple H, and due to emergency booking, Randy Orton. Smackdown had a slighter bigger Main Event scene. With an Undisputed championship, it would make the WWE Main Event scene bigger and more prestigious.
Combine the US and Intercontinental Championship: Same with the World title scene. Plus, it can give emphasis on the midcard.
Combine the Tag Team Titles: Some say the tag team division is dead and I can see why. With the Tag Team champions running through the brands, it would give out more competition.
Have the Womans champion on both shows: You get the jist.
And those four champions would be appearing on both Smackdown and RAW. It gives us stars from different brands fueding with each other without breaking up the roster too much. For example, the unified IC champion(lets just say Jeff Hardy) can fued with a Smackdown star(MVP). The fued would mostly take place on Smackdown and on occasion MVP would invade RAW. Once MVP wins the IC title, the fued would end, and Jeff would go back on RAW, and MVP would fued with either a fellow Smackdown star or better yet, another RAW star. The one set of titles would give us a reminder that in the end, its one company. Thoughts?
