When was the last time a wrestler in the WWE used a Northern Light's Suplex? I am pretty sure no one uses it in the WWE today, but I am sure some of the wrestlers know how to do it if needed. I think it would be awesome if Cena learned this move as a 'set up the true pin, pinning move'.
I remember using this move to finish wrestlers in a video game, I think the wrestlers name in the game was 'El Tigre', and it *might* have been Tecmo Pro Wrestling for the NES, but I can't remember for sure.
I love how this move looks, the smooth whipping action into a tight bridge pin. It takes tons of strength to pull off, as well as the wrestler being very flexible.
People that I am sure knew how to do it well were Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Curt Henning, etc
Could Lashley pull off this move? Cena?
Most new wrestling fans probably think it's a boring move since it's not 'high impact' and it's a direct pin move. It's less exciting than a massive spear from Lashley into a pin. 8(
I plan to post more of this 'move worship' threads from now on. I feel the moves themselves are not given enough attention, for if it were not for the moves, we would not have superstars and even wrestling itself!
So I ask this, take a 10 second pause to refect on the Northern Light's Suplex. Remember the joy it has given you!

The last person I saw use it in The E was Charlie Haas. He did a lovely looking one too.
I love The Northern Lights Suplex, I used to have it as my finisher in Smackdown games years ago.

Did Ken Shamrock use one during his brief E stint? It seems like it.

Pretty much every variation of a standing suplex has vanished from WWE TV. We still have Cena's take on a Fisherman Suplex though

I think Chris Masters did it actually, during his Different Suplex Every Week era.

Just watched it and I have to say it was the first time I'd seen it in real life. Up until now I'd only seen it in Smackdown games. It is an impressive move. I say give it to one of the strong guys, let him make it his.

Didn't Val Venis use it for a while? I thought so, but I could be wrong.

i'm sure both haas and benjamin have used it over the years, but no one uses it regularly. shame, because it's a great move.

I know it is actually used often. I can't remember but I swear someone used it at Survivor Series. I think on Raw people really don't pay attention to matches. It is not that uncommon to see.

I remember Molly Holly used to do one on occassion.
Matt Hardy used to also do the release version from time to time.
EDIT: Come to think of it... more people should use it in general against Matt Hardy as it's a great reversal of the Twist of Fate.

EDIT: Come to think of it... more people should use it in general against Matt Hardy as it's a great reversal of the Twist of Fate. It was one of Molly's most regular spots. She would often reverse the Twist of Fate (from Lita) with it. Benoit also used it frequently. It's more of a technician's move, and there aren't many of those left in the company at the moment.

Its a wrestling move, hence you dont see it often in the WWE.I havent seen wwe in a while but from what i have its still the simple punch, kick, bodyslam, verticle suplex, chinlock.ddt, side suplex, clothesline and finishin move stuff,i would be surprised to ever see it again in the company.

One of my personal faves.
I could have sworn I just saw it last week? It's not that rare of a move I don't think?
Watch a Jamie Noble match, you might see it.
