Great another Anti Candice thread. Such a shame.
The Answer is April Hunter and Melina. Melina could be the worst women's wrestler not named Torrie Wilson or Maria right now. She blows more moves than a pornstar.

This should begin and end with Trish Stratus. Yeah. I never got on or understood the "Trish is improving" wagon back from like, 2002 or whenever. She just never did it for me.

Candice.100%,the credit everyone gives her,"She's improving" "She's getting better","She's a good champion" is a joke.
Without a doubt, the worst womens champion since Stephanie.

overrated in terms of people saying "this woman is a good wrestler and she's working hard!", I'm going with Trish Stratus on that one. The other women mentioned (Melina, Candice, Ariel) I think we can all agree have next to no skills in-ring.

I boo your anti Sara Del Rey remarks times a thousand. Honestly it sounds like you're talking out of your ass and you've never watched Shimmer. When it comes to serious women's wrestling, there's really no higher level Shimmer. I don't know where else you see the "more talented" female wrestlers, except maybe a promotion in your mind All I'm sayin' is Del Rey/Daizee Haze at Destiny, as well as Nikki Roxx/Daizee Haze at Reborn Again didn't do it for me. Maybe they were just objectively bad matches. Mind you, those are the only matches I've seen involving anyone from Shimmer (and I acknowledged that I hadn't seen much, so I wasn't disrespecting the fed). Like I said, maybe we don't get the good stuff in CT. Maybe I just need to buy the DVD's? (shrug)

I'm not a fan of women's wrestling in general, but to me the single most overrated woman's wrestler is Allison Danger. The only good she did was accompanying Daniels out to the ring in ROH.

Watch a shimmer show, when the show is actually based around them and they don't have to cram themselves inbetween matches on the ROH card, For most overrated, I'm gonna say, Trish (although I think she did a great job much better than any of the later fitness models picked up soley for good looks and some people won't cut her ANY slack just because of the way she looks. "She looks like a bimbo therefore all her hard work is worthless" schtick). I don't consider Candice to be a real wrestler. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Too bad hype doesn't actually make anybody bad.

Even that sucked. If I were trained as a wrestler, I'd consider managing a step down. I don't like face pure wrestling (leave ROH gimmicks in ROH) Danger in shimmer, I can't wait til she just turns heel and joins up with Knox or somethng. Heel Danger is the best Danger.

it's a tie between daizee haze and trish for me.
I don't understand at all why daizee haze got a MASSIVE women's push in chikara during their 2006 season.
****SPOILERS***
I'm not even making this up when I say that she won ALL her single women's matches.
first she beats alison danger TWICE, and I think in a row. then she beat alure little feather, then she beat sara del ray, after that mickie knuckles and finally she and larry sweeney beat eddie kingston in a handicap match which saw her do jumping jacks afterwords. after that she didn't appear untill 2007 where sara del ray beat her in a 2 out of 3 falls match.
however I will say this, she did have a pretty good match the first time she went up against alison danger.

Well see that's the thing, with Daniels it just didn't feel the same unless Danger was with him, that was part of the package you could say. As for "If I were trained as a wrestler, I'd consider managing a step down" a lot of people are just BETTER at being a manager than at being a wrestling. Look at Prince Nana for example. Hell, Steve Corino was basically hired as a manager to get his big break.

Daizee's got a pretty big push in shimmer too, she's a steady midcarder and if she's not in the maineven she's wrestling the fresh new undercard. Her match with Portia Perez at the title tourny is something I must see. Two of the best little women in wrestling.

Just a matter of opinion, I understand it is pratical when there aren't any other women around for you the wrestle but being a manager seems. . .sucky. Not saying that Danger isn't a great manager, she's a terrific heel manager and plain great heel at that it's just. ..meh.

A couple:
1 - Molly Holly: Before you hate on me, I think Molly is one of the best female wrestlers I've ever seen. However, the way she is talked about, whenever I watch one of her old matches I'm suckered into expecting a female combination of Lou Thesz and Tiger Mask to come walking down the ramp, all wrapped up in the body of the most beautiful woman you've ever seen. What I actually see is an interestingly cute woman who can rassle real nice, not the deity most people make her into. I think that the fact that she was easily the best around in her era in the WWE, she's a nice girl, and she escaped with her dignity intact, makes people love her a little TOO much.
2 - Cheerleader Melissa: Again, Melissa is very good, but here in the UK there is a massive tendancy to overrate her, with the Chickfight bookers and fans being the worst - she was in a 45 minute ¡CLASSIC![/sarcasm] with Wesna a couple of months back, and it seems that people called it a classic because it had Melissa wrestling in it, and went 45 minutes. I think that if she toned her style down a notch (less hardcore brawling, less head dropping in an indy style) she'd be a lot more complete.

I wouldn't mind Cheerleader Melissa so much, in fact she's highly ranked on my favorites for female wrestlers, if her face didn't look like a train wreck. Say what you will about how weird/gay it sounds, but I don't like watching ugly guys wrestle, much less ugly chicks.

Women compete in Chikara? yeah. in 2006 they were basically feeding women to haze though, not much of a division. then again they did have a female lance steel team up with the colony once. in 2005 however they had sumi sakai (I think I'm spelling that right) go up against alison danger in a feud. this is all part of chikara trying to show all sorts of wrestling under a family friendly banner. you know kinda like what IWA MS does but with out the hardcore wrestling.

Cool. One-off womens' matches in chikara. edit to add: Why f isn't Sumie in shimmer? ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) might have something to do with her IWA-MS deal. Well, at least it got Mayumi Ozaki to the states so *shrugs* she'd just job anyway. COME ON BABY!
