TNA iMPACT! drew a 1.1 rating based on data compiled by Nielsen Media Research.

I guess the Impact Boycott didn't go as planned.

TNA: We Are Wres - wait, no, scratch that.
TNA: We Are Enter - Nope, sorry, no go on that one either.
TNA: We Are Consistant? Doesn't have the same ring, I guess.

I guess there's an obvious joke to be made about people being ignorant and thinking "boycott" meant to be sure and watch.

Yeah I find a great majority of people don't understand how the neilson ratings work. The best bet is to boycott PPVs.

I think it would have somewhat of an impact (no pun intended) because they're the viewers who are likely to keep watching unlike the average fan switching through the channels.

I don't, not unless they have Nielsen Rating Boxes. Cause if you don't, they can't track what you are watching. They don't record every individual watching programs, they record a random sample and make estimates. If the entire IWC boycotted it wouldn't matter unless a large amount of us had Nielsen Ratings Boxes.

The last weekly PPVs were drawing 8,000. When things are really bad right now, they draw three times more than that.

The last weekly PPVs were drawing 8,000. When things are really bad right now, they draw three times more than that. They haven't improved since the weekly PPVs best buyrates. The guys on BTR (one of whom has worked with TNA) have said it, Matt Bentley has said it, and now I'm saying it. The buyrates suck, which is one of the reason's TNA never publicly releases them.

They haven't improved since the weekly PPVs best buyrates. Joe-Angle I drew 80,000 buys, a number they never did in the weekly days. Now, they're asking people to pay $29.99, not $9.99 whatever weeks they feel like watching or every once in awhile. That's a huge difference.

I'm willing to guess they aren't. Note I said guess because I don't know and am only going on firsthand information of the people who work or worked there.

I think we both know the answer to that question. EDIT: They aren't drawing anywhere close to 80,000.

I think we both know the answer to that question. Well then that's exactly my point. They spiked buyrates ONCE. Wonderful. They can't keep it there so it's not like suddenly you're doing fantastic because of one anomaly (at least that's how statisticians will look at it)

Well seeing as they won't tell us their buy rates we don't know either way do we? I'd guess their buyrates have gone up since they left Fox Sports. But we are only told when they do a high buyrate like at Genesis.

They can't keep it there so it's not like suddenly you're doing fantastic because of one anomaly (at least that's how statisticians will look at it) They could keep it around 80,000 if they had a clue what they were doing. They don't have a clue. You and I both know that. There's absolutely no reason why a TNA can only draw 2.1% of their TV audience to pay 29 dollars to watch a fake fight, when (based on SpikeTV ratings) UFC draws 75% of their audience to PPV. I was just pointing out that they drew around 80,000 with Joe-Angle, because you were using non-facts as facts in your argument as to why TNA is TEH SUCKZ. I just thought it was fair to bring up that they'd actually eclipsed their best weekly buyrates by a ton, when you said they never did. That's all.
