Gerweck.net
Dear goodness.
EDIT: I wonder if Konnan's raise was the extra $4000 he owed to the company plus some "benefits."
This thing is complicated...

Holy crap Russo trying to do some good...wait.
I'm confused. By the whole article really. Other than Russo trying to bring Konnan back.

Damn. TNA management and Konnan...they're like fire and ice.
And meanwhile the wrestlers are straight in the middle of it all....lukewarm water.
No good can come of this.

OK. Let me see if I can get this straight.
Konnan has his problems with his kidneys and his hip. TNA loans him money for the hip, but not the kidney. After that, Konnan leaves. TNA doesn't consider him official fired or something. After that, Konnan says TNA owes him cash, and then TNA says Konnan owes them cash. Konnan asked for a raise, I'm guessing after he quit since he was in his hospital bed, although that could be from the hip thing, after that due to racial discrimination, and TNA took it as blackmail.
So, in conclusion, the whole Konnan/TNA bridge is burned, buried, and shit on.

It sucks for LAX but the best thing TNA (or any company) can do is wash your hands of Konnan. He's the biggest head-case there is, there was and there ever will be. He and Shane Dougless come write a book on "How To Burn Bridges And Alienate People."

The 'you owe me money and I'm smurfing dying' point. I don't see that. All I see is "You owe me money due to pay I deserve for something I did" and "You are racist against me" and I don't get the last point.

I'm not sure "racist" is the word, but I'm guessing that if Kurt Angle was in Konnan's position, a lot of things would be different.
Also, I'm willing to bet that Konnan would agree with me on that point.

Just how Borash had to stay with him due to Mantell fearing he was gonna get stabbed.

Konnan's a whiny bitch.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he didn't die, but I'm very grateful to not see him on my TV.
His time with LAX is over anyway. They're over as babyfaces now. They belong with Hector. Konnan can't be a babyface. His natural personality is too at odds with it.
Even babyface Konnan with the Filthy Animals came off as a douche because of how he always picked on the most vulnerable in the group (Disco).

Nowhere, in ANY wrestling contract does it say that the promotion is responsible for the health of it's wrestlers. WWE covers some of it, more so than TNA, but then again, WWE has more MONEY than TNA. So TNA shells out a loan, and asks that it be paid back...umm...I fail to see te racism and unfairness here. And if Konnan was owed 12,000 and TNA is owed 16,000 doesn't that really just mean that Konnan ows 4,000? That's just basic math, esse! What point could Konnan POSSIBLY have? Other than "Whaa is me! I want money and attention?" Go suit up and join Marc Mero.

So based on that it sounds like either way Konnan owes TNA money. either $16000 or $4000.

This would be TNA's perfect opportunity to prove that point in taking care of one of their most loyal (i know but Vocal) wrestlers they've had on the roster. He helped spread TNA around Mexico and all that other stuff. I don't know what happened to his money, but I am betting he hoped that TNA would you know actually care about him. They have the money for big money contracts, but don't have the money to help save people's lives? That's BS, and I think the amount Steiner gets paid is way more than Konnan does, and he also gets those "fringe" benefits those top card guys get. It's just I don't know wrong, but that's wrestling for you. I hate TNA just for the way they treat their wrestlers and them fronting like they are the company to work for. It's just BS in the highest order and I hope things get changed in the company. But blah they are run like an Independent show anyways...

They have the money for big money contracts, but don't have the money to help save people's lives? Number one, they don't have that many people earning big money contracts. Probably fewer than five or six. Secondly, they DID provide the money needed to save Konnan's life. They just required that he pay it back. I think people are trying to see this as a 'company screws the little guy' story but to me it's more like, "world's worst employee demands special treatment or he's suing and will trash the company's reputation."

So why would you believe Konnan? Everything that's known about the guy suggests truth is not his strong points.

It's just BS in the highest order and I hope things get changed in the company. But blah they are run like an Independent show anyways... First of all, Steiner's care wasn't paid for by TNA. His was covered by the Steiner Fund. Otherwise known as his bank account. Second of all, TNA has never come out and said "We will pay your medical bills" to ANYONE. The only thing that TNA has said, in the past, was that they work a lesser load than the WWE workers. That's it. If Konnan was banking on TNA covering his bills, wouldn't tat be like me expecting my job to just give me money if I'm hurt for some reason? That's what health insurance companies are for. TNA is a wrestling promotion, not an insurance company.
