The 'Superstar' Billy Graham transformation to 'Kung Fu' Billy Graham was just too shocking. Not only did his appearance change, but he lost around 100 IQ points and developed a speech impediment of some sort. That's probably the most shocking change for me.

Surprised nobody's mentioned: -> Well back then, the rumor was Billy had died. So it was a shock to everyone when he came back. I didn't know that Kim Chee was Steve Lombardi until I started coming here.

I didn't realize that The Genius was Leaping Lanny Poffo (the guy who had poetry written on frisbees and threw them into the audience) until someone told me about a year ago.

I mean lets face it, at any point that kind of role under a mask could be given to any non descript jobber

Johnny Devine looked pretty unrecognizable when he first showed up with Serotonin.

Actually, Friday was someone else. Can't remember who now, but he was brought in with Kamala, as they'd done the gimmick elsewhere. For whatever reasons, Friday was shown the door and WWF just dressed up Lombardi in a similar outfit and called him Kim Chee. Oh, and Maniac Matt Borne as Doink. Billy Jack as Black Blood. Lot of the masked gimmicks, in fact, got past me at first.

I always thought Barry Darsow was Doink. Then I found out he wasn't.
Total mindsmurf.

I watched ECW back in the day, so there was no confusion on Raven/Johnny Polo to me. His debut was Stevie Richards telling Joey Styles that Johnny Polo was going to debut, then he introduced him as 'The Raven', as Joey acted freaked out by his transformation. The only one I can think of off the top of my head was Golga. I had no frigging clue it was Earthquake. And then when I found out, I wished they'd just brought him back as Earthquake.
