And just because my sig is now so popular and I'm being patrionized, I'M CHANGING IT! I didn't mean anything bad, man, I just loves me some Muta entrance attire. I've honestly only watched about 4 or 5 of his matches, I usually find something else to watch after the entrance and subsequent unmasking to reveal the paint or the 2nd mask, unless it's after he came up with the Shining Wizard, I love that move. Just BTW, what did the have on under the skull, from the in-crowd vid you posted, it looked like he had on a silver mask, but I couldn't tell if it was the "Jason X" mask he fought Bob Sapp in, the "Rocketeer"-ish mask he fought Tajiri in, or maybe even that gold and silver mask with the two lizards on top he wore for his appearance in TNA, or some completely new mask. EDIT- I think a thread about a Muta costume reaching 2 pages is reason to celebrate, I'm gonna go get a drink. ;D Oh, you're missing out. Muta is, and always has been, the ultimate heel. Better than Flair, to say the least.

Better than Flair, to say the least. He stabs people in the head with knives, broken bottles and anything else he finds under the ring. Muta is a bad ass mofo monster heel and everyone else who's done that type of gimmick since 1990 is copying him. Period.

He's not trashy, either. He can back it up in the ring.

He's not trashy, either. He can back it up in the ring. That man lost his knees (ever present limp, watch him walk to the ring. He was hospitalized for it two years ago and originally that's why he did one last run in WCW) to give us one spectacular moonsault. It's something about the way he executes it that makes it "different". Also.. ..Keiji Muto is the man. But we all knew that.

He must be doing better now, because he's gone back to doing moonsaults sometimes and seems fine.

He's probably doing well but the damage is done.

Can't be half as bad as Funk's knees. That guy worries me.

Can't be half as bad as Funk's knees. That guy worries me. I don't know if it's as advanced but he's had a limp since 1993. And he did have to go to the hospital after a show, have surgery and stay there for shortly before becoming the president of All Japan Mens. Plus that and his long hiatus after coming back from WCW and going to WCW in the first place. He was not as his best there, you could tell something was weighing him down.

I like that Muta has managed to adapt his style, like Liger did. I saw them have a match maybe like 2 years ago, tops, and it might of been even better than their old matches.

It's not like Muta is the original, anyway (the Great Kabuki is Muta's kayfabe father, and had been doing the gimmick since the 80's). But you gotta admit that when Jushin Liger went to Kishin Liger on him, that was the awesomest thing on the planet.

I know about Kabuki but in my opinion Muta took it to the next level and also with the exposure he got from NJPW's heyday. He's matches with and against Kabuki are worth watching over and over again. That's psychology involving blood that isn't cheap pops and high spots.

I like that Tajiri has stepped up his Muta worship in Japan, teaming with him, and feuding with him, in some very excellent matches.
