Well, apparently TNA Mobile sent out a message saying that there will be a "Major announcement regarding TNA's future." Although they seem to do this at every show, I'm pretty sure it will be the official announcement of the 2 hour timeslot.

Now TNA has no excuse if they still have crappy shows. Don't let me down, TNA. [insert obligatory "Prepare to be let down" comment here]

When the announcement comes, I will be sending my check for ten dollars to Sting and Vince Russo's presumptive charity of choice, Ted DiBiase's Heart of David Ministries.
On the chance it does not come I hope the other side of the wager will be honored.
Thanks to all the TNA marks who participated in our bet.

I said I'll give them another chance when this happens, and I will. I'll give them a 5 show chance to impress me and show me that their booking isn't s***, then can put on good matches again, and that they aren't going to keep Sting/Steiner/3D/Angle and everyone else over the MCMG/Joe/Christian/Styles of the world.
Last chance TNA.

yeah, I'm giving them a second chance, too. But if it just becomes TNA double-speed for 2 hours instead of one, no thanks.

I doubt they have the reserves to keep up the near drug induced speed of the current impact. They'll probably just have the guys they already have working just do more to get more value for money.

If they do well and better than they have in the past year with their Impact shows, then I'll be more than happy to accept it and watch it regularly like I did before, but if it's just cramming 4 hours into 2, I'll pass.

Personally, I really doubt I'll bother, even with a second hour. I've just been burned by TNA too many times. Unless I hear people raving about their shows, I'm probably just going to pass.

They are going up against The Office this season....
I guess I'll be watching half of Impact on Thursday and the other half on Saturday (unless they axe the replay).

To me, success with 2 hours all hinges on one thing.
If they take the current overbooked hour of Crash TV and use the second hour to let things develop properly and pace the show better, then TNA will have potential to become huge. If they keep the exact same pacing as they use now and end up cramming 4 hours of TV into 2, then nothing is accomplished.

Well, if this isn't just a rumor, it should be neat. My main problem with watching TNA is that I work 2pm-10pm, and if I have the day off, I'd really rather watch My Name Is Earl/The Office/Scrubs in nbc. Question: Is there still that replay of Impact on Saturday nights? Sometimes there is a reply at 11pm on Saturday nights, but other times there is just a Spike TV movie (Sin City, Road House, Bruce Lee, etc). There really doesn't seem to be a set schedule for when Impact is replayed.

Would it be horrible if Spike had a press conference to announce this with TNA management being there for the momentous occasion and then...
"Spike TV is proud to announced that TNA Impact has been moved from Thursday at 9:00 PM to not on the network."
Stunned Silence.
"Swerve that one, Mantel."
*Spike TV people leave*

I hope for a better product. In 2 hours they could really develop storylines better and have better and longer matches. If they get an extra hour I really hope they don't drop the ball and put out a product that is superior to WWE's crap (again). At the moment they are on par, which means both promotions pretty much suck.
