I was watching some of his matches from the late 80's/early 90's and it made me realize how underrated he was as a proformer.
He was a good promo guy, had charisma and could move rather well for a guy his size. I think he probably deserved an IC title run at some point during his face run.
Anyone else agree?

Personally, I think Bossman should have got THE title when he was feuding with Big Show. I loved him as WWE's #1 heel, the Most Evil Man Alive.

He was no doubt robbed of an IC title run. One of my favorite wrestlers in the early 90's.

The Big Bossman was THE hometown guy for us in Georgia back in the 80's. There was also Jake the Snake Roberts, but Bossman wore the Georgia state flag on the sleeve of his shirt, and "Cobb County" was mentioned in his theme song.

I always liked the bossman, be it in his glory days of WWF, feuding with hogan, or on his face run. He so should have beaten Mr. Perfect.
Plus his 2nd run as a nasty bodyguard/swat guy was hilarious. Hell in a kennel and Al Snow's dog pepper, being hung by the undertaker. but for me The Big Nasty Bastard storyline was pure gold from his poem, to the revelation with Big Show's mum to the infamous coffin hijack .. lol

i really miss big bossman Same Here. Add me to the list. He's a guy I felt never got the credit he deserved, especially from the majority of internet fans, until after his death. I'm not saying anyone here was that way, but I remember a lot of Bossman hate when I first discovered the "IWC".

I have to respect whose wrestling career survived so much wrestlecrap. Seriously, how many times have his gimmicks or angles that he's been involved in been inducted? Off the top of my head I can think of the Guardian Angel, Big Show's father, and the Kennel match, and his career still survived.

Guys have done it off the top rope in a match but none from the top of the cage like two 300 lbers did. So, yeah Jeff Hardy, you may be a spot monkey, but you got nothing on the Bossman.

I marked out for him as a kid for the simple fact that I lived in Ga since I was 5 and his song mentioned cobb county Ga. I loved on superstars when he'd bring his ball & chain and drop the ball on the jobbers midsection after the match.

Was never a huge fan, but he was pretty good. When I was a kid, I figured he was the one guy I'd never wanna wrestle. I really thought he was that mean.
Also, I believe he really did beat Nailz in prison.

His 1999 heel run had some of the greatest heel work of all time. The stuff with Snow and Big Show was amazing.
Plus I loved him as a later 80s early 90s face, and his moveset was great. That thing where he'd choke you on the middle rope, run and bounce off the opposite side, slide under and then uppercut you - loved that spot.

One of my favourites of all time. I loved watching Big Bossman as a kid and when he came back as part of the Corporation I was overjoyed. It was like having an old friend back!
I even have my old Bossman mug next to my monitor as I type this.

Oh, also, does anybody have a link to that famous "He wasn't even supposed to be in the ring" bit? I've never actually seen that.
