Oooh, not a good thing to happen at the climax of an angle really. I've read up about it now, I guess the footage being removed is more to do with the crowd booing it so badly and the mic problems. I know it makes them sound picky, but it's not good for a ppv to end with the crowd chanting boring and not being able to hear the bloke talking. No. I think it's so that you'll buy the DVD. |

It really is a shame that the mic was faulty. But I guess that that they could just have Jacobs cut a promo in post-production over the hanging/blood drinking segment...

That way ROH can wash their hands with it storyline wise, and still get in the promo... I was thinking that today. It's kind of a stretch to think they'd interrupt every broadcast of a PPV, but hey, I can suspend disbelief like that, especially if they do it like that creepy 133 broadcast stuff. |

There is no doubt in my mind that the pay-per-view will end with Jimmy Jacobs' speech. Instead of seeing the hanging Briscoe though, the PPV audience will be treated to a montage of website pictures, video clips, and portions of the 161 DVD, with a few still images of the in-ring aftermath thrown in for shock value. As far as the in-house acceptance of the angle goes, I have a sinking feeling that it is largely based upon the poster's own feelings. If said audience member was into it, the end is reported as "the crowd just ate it up... everything has played out perfectly... Gabe has done it again." If said audience member hated the angle, however, it was reported as "there were 'boring' chants all through the arena... no one bought it... Gabe used to be good but he sucks now." No offense to anyone on this board, but I am going to wait to see the angle (or at the very least, hear the speech) before I decide whether the angle was a success or not.

I wonder if I should go and chant "Age of the fall!" or "161" at Necro.

Reading through this, unless there was a severe problem with the mic that couldn't be edited..it's pretty dumb not to put that on the ppv. People are talking about it. Like I said, I don't really follow ROH but I wanna see it. It's like Sandman's crucifixion all over again.
