I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to like Amazing Kong. I was really buying all the hype and everything.
I don't mind her wrestling. I can buy that. I can even take the fact that her jugs fell out..... What I can't take are her IDIOTIC facial expressions.
She overdoes them and it is ruining her matches for me. A twitch here and there. An angry face when she gets hit
BUT NOT EVERY DAMN SECOND

(I had a thread a while ago about how much I loved his Pokemon line) Christian. I am one of the few that LOVES every second of Angle's promos and I think the new TNA IMPACT game looks great. I mark for MCMG and a lot of things TNA does I hate on Sting and a few other little things but I have more I dislike about WWE then TNA. (And I really don't think I bitch about that much) The threads which I profess hatred get the most attraction probably |

Yeah, she really does have to work on her facial expressions. She doesn't exactly look menacing at all when she does them, she just looks like Big Momma plus dreadlocks. The same retarded look on her face.

I like Amazing Kong as a wrestler, but her character confuses me. Like you mentioned, her facial expressions are not anything to do with her as a wrestler.
As a wrestler, she's a monster. Kong looks like she could kill you by simply staring at you. Yet, she makes all these stupid faces. Shouldn't she simply stare a hole through her opponents, then beat the crap out of them? I feel it would get her over more.

Im not a fan of her honestly. Whats the point, she mowing through the womens divison, in which theres like 8 or 9 people in. So what happens next, she wins the title? Gail Kim gets a fluke win over her, and then she wins the title?
Theres no where for this to go really. Its like Samoa Joe dominating the X-Divison. I just dont like the division domination thing personally. Its fine for a little while, but not for a long period of time.
Put her with the male wrestlers. At least that would be more believable. Chyna was more believable as a Womens champion then Kong would be. Theres no way one of the women TNA has can beat her and make it look convincing.

I know TNA gets a lot of criticism, but maybe we should add this onto the pile. All I'm saying is I never saw Kong make these facial expressions until she was in TNA. If I had to guess, TNA has told her to do it.

Theres no way one of the women TNA has can beat her and make it look convincing. while i could see her wrestling men (she is very good at it) i don't think tna will do that just yet. i do not think her tearing threw the division will end up like the joe situation. the difference? when joe did he dominated one division and didn't get his comeuppance because they were building still building his steam and pushing him into another division. as a women's wrestler currently she is not going to be pushed to another division. if this push is not to elevate her out of the division while still keeping her momentum (which i really doubt it is) then she will eventually get beaten. whoever does it will get a big rub as the one to take down kong. let it play out for a while and i think we will see someone elevated from it. the only way i don't see it ending up that way is if they for some reason wanted to elevate her to an x-division run. |
