Nigel wrestling tonight is odd...so much for having to stay out of the ring and rehab. What's this mean for tomorrow night?

Wow. I was right on all but two matches so far. I could've sworn they'd give the win to Danielson but my original guess of Aries was correct. I think Gabe pulled a swerve on us with Nigel's "injury". Also, what's with all of the wild brawls as of late? Are they trying to be ECW or something?

So does that mean Nigel's injured and just gutting it out, or have we been played again?

Also, what's with all of the wild brawls as of late? Are they trying to be ECW or something? I think it's to put over the idea that everybody on the roster is pretty much feuding with each other right now. There are so many interlocking, intersecting feuds that a chart would be very messy.

Time limit draw in the main event, assumed to keep everyone 'strong' for tomorrow night and their big matches.

To prove you wrong I'm going to make a chart using Paint in a little bit and post it here.

Just a question, what is with the questions marks at the 6 spot in the original post?

Just got back, very disappointing. How so? The show started off with El Generico & Steen beating Albright and Whitmer. This match was pretty good despite Whitmer's hair. Well paced and a pretty good opener. Next was a surprise match featuring Claudio & Hallowicked. This was also a pretty damn good match, Hallowicked showed some great chain wrestling skills and should definatly get more bookings. Next up is where things started to sour. Honestly Davey Richards just isn't very charismatic. He is every blase and he killed all heat the show had. When Delirious was getting offense in the crowd started up again but with a Richards win the shows momentum took a definite turn for the worse. The Briscoes tag match was up and it was another blase showing from the NRC. The only redeeming part of this match was the Briscoes masterful double team moves. There was a bit more heat on this one. Next was the 6 man which was great and brought the crowd 100% back into things. The crazy brawling and ring dives were even better. Next was Ernie Osiris, who I do not recall seeing before against Mitch Franklin. Very surprising to me was the fact of just how good Osiris is. He looked fantastic and deserved the win. The Aries-Danielson match was up next and it was probably the MOTN. Dueling chants abounded as the crowd was split. i was a bit disappointed when Danielson lost but it was still a pretty satisfying match. Larry Sweeney is gold on the mic. So is Hero. For a one armed man Nigel puts on a decent match. Me and a number of others in our section were very distraught over the fact that a one armed man was able to beat able bodied Hero. not very believable booking. The maine vent us up next and was probably the 2nd or 3rd best match of the night. Marufuji is not only hilarious but also a great wrestler. KENTA looked great as well. Misawa spent most of the match on the sidelines and when he was in he looked pretty immobile and mostly just did forearms. It was clear he wasn't brought in to do 5 star matches, merely as a sign of respect. The Time Limit draw pissed everyone off. Most people stayed inside waiting for something to happen but nothing did. Marufuji was still on his game though catching streamers after the match. The Time limit draw didn't sit well and left an unsatisfying feeling. The NRC also slowed the pace of the show down. Not a bad show but definatly a show that did not live up to expectations. Also March 15th? New York has like 20 shows between now and then. That's bullshit.

The missing spot there is the following:
Ring of Honor Top of the Class Trophy Mitch Franklin {h} VS. Ernie Osiris WINNER and NEW HOLDER OF THE TOP OF THE CLASS TROPHY: Ernie Osiris
My thoughts in a minute.

I too went to the show. Did anyone else swear they saw Balls Mahoney in the crowd sitting in the bleachers? He was right across from me..I just wanted to grab a microphone and ask him if he got in Kelly Kelly's pants yet for all the ROH fans to hear

Also when Davey Richards came out, there were a few seconds where he was taunting a fan by grabbing his balls as if to see if he had the balls to fight him. And I saw the guy I think was Balls standing up laughing at Richards. It could have simply been a lookalike but I could have freakin sworn it was him!

Just got back, very disappointing. You, sir, are hard to impress. I'll tell you, doing this was, bar-none, the greatest decision I ever made. The only reason it was the greatest night of my life is because I'm still a virgin. First off, I went for food around 2:45 or so, passing the National Guard Armory (where the show took place) along the way. After getting INCREDIBLY lost, I finally drove into some type of complex with every single fast-food chain imaginable. I picked up a Subway sandwich, went back toward the Guard, missed turning into the parking lot, and ended up driving SEVEN MILES OUT OF MY WAY just for an opportunity to turn back. I finally get into the lot, eat my sandwich over a good book ( Lion's Tale), and I get in line. Of course, by this point, it's 3:45, and it's two people long. (When Misawa came in, he didn't get MASSIVE applause because there were maybe a dozen people there. His entourage [and for all the people who showed up with him, this guy'd better be God himself] spent most of the afternoon taking promotional shots.) By 6:00, the line was about 20 or so. After getting to shake Cary Silkin's hand just for the sake of shaking Cary Silkin's hand, they let us in. Man, I cleaned up. The very first thing I did was buy a front-row ticket to the NEXT Philly show (3/15/08), then I went to the merch table. That poor, poor merch table. Fifth Year Festival: Dayton Fifth Year Festival: Chicago Fifth Year Festival: Liverpool Fifth Year Festival: Finale Live in Tokyo Live in Osaka Caged Rage Manhattan Mayhem IIROH Hoodie Chris Hero T-shirt After all that, I got back up to get Nigel McGuinness' autograph. One respectful *pat* to the ROH World Championship belt later, and I was ready and rarin' to go. (Yeah, I touched the ROH World Championship. The f***'re YOU gonna do about it?) The dark matches were what they were. Rhett Titus caught on with the fans, Shane got pissed while I was trying to text in results...of course, after the second dark match, it's still about 40 or so minutes until the show. The opener (Kel Steenerico/Hangm3n) didn't set the world on fire, but it wasn't bad. Some Steenerico comedy went down after the Three left. Davey/Delirious was better than I was expecting (which was an ordinary outing). Briscoes/NRC was great-great-great. Vultures/AOTF was pretty damn good in its own right (it was short, but the crowd was on their feet for every second of it). Everybody and their dog came out after ward, and everybody from Daizee to Necro did top-rope suicidae (except for Davey 'cause he's a dick). After Intermission was the TOTC Trophy match. I liked it, but it wasn't Match of the Year or anything. The crowd was torn between Aries and AmDrag, and it was a phenomenal match. I mean, seriously incredible. I'm not saying it's a surprise or anything...standing ovation for both afterward. The crowd was popping when Larry Sweeney came out, so imagine what they did when HERO was out there. (Sara, by the way, looked HOT AS HELL, but she seemed quite touchy-feely with Bobby Dempsey. Yes, THAT'S what I'm insinuating.) Sweeney said that, according to the contracts, Hero's Survival of the Fittest win gave him, for lack of any better term, Money-in-the-Bank privilege (my words, not his). Nigel came out, "I worked my whole damn life for this," blah blah blah blah Manchester United blah blah blah (the crowd felt pretty much the same way). When Nigel tapped, I will be damned if less than 98% of the crowd was cheering like a motherf***er. I mean, the place EXPLODED as Chris held the World title. Of course, it came crashing down... Is Misawa, like, a Japanese titan or something? You'd think the frikkin' POPE was showing up instead of a wrestler. Japanese photographers, Japanese reporters, Japanese flag bearers...when's the last time KENTA was considered an afterthought? KENTA/Marufuji started things off and REALLY got the crowd going for the match, but the second--the SECOND--Morishima tagged in, he demanded Misawa. We cheered every move Misawa made. Honestly--when the man MOVED, we cheered. The time-limit draw was a downer (and since Misawa likes five-minute announcements, it was funny hearing Bobby Cruise speak in Japanese literally every five minutes), but we understood why it happened. The crowd was hot the entire time, never getting tired. I counted exactly two botches, so everyone was spot-on. It was a bona fide blast, and my only regret is having to leave. Of course, I got lost on my way back to the hotel.

First things first, the show wasn't disappointing. While it wasn't even close to the best show this year - it wasn't bad. There was nothing off the charts amazing, but I'll give the following insight:
I'm positive Nigel's injury is legitimate and it's not a work - I think this match gave the East Coasters a chance to see a Nigel defense before he takes time off. As for believability...are you kidding Jeff? Hero looked great AND he beat Nigel before Turner reversed his own decision. Both looked very strong and this sets up what should be a great rematch.
The main event was very good, even though Misawa wasn't anything amazing. I wasn't expecting much - it was a respect thing. As for the draw, NOAH booked it so I can't complain about what Gabe was thinking.
Aries-Danielson was the best match of the night, and I enjoyed the 20 man and woman brawl to end the first half. No, it wasn't an amazing show. Tomorrow night should be though.

Yea, not very believable.
