But they've already got Tank Tolland. Why would they need another all natural, superior athlete?

I sometimes think someone like him wouldn't be a bad addition to ROH. You have plenty of technicians. Sometimes, having a musclehead isn't a bad thing.

Chirs Masters is a bigger star than Tank Tolland. I think it would be awesome.

At first glance I will admit I thought Chris Masters in ROH was ridiculous, but I think the topic creator has a great point actually. Chris Masters would get INSANELY booed by the ROH crowd, and he could possibly play into the boos bring on the whole WWE mentality of bigger is better. Masters could rip on ROH guys for being too small and things like that.
The problem is that once the heeling and booing is done, I don't think Masters would have too many good ROH matches. His style of wrestling is very different and his matches with guys like Danielson or Morishima would be awkward.

IT would also lead him to be a better wrestler too. Working with some of the best in the US.

It'd be pretty tough to have a bad match with Danielson. you'd have to fall down and crap your pants 4 seconds in. Otherwise, he'd save it. Masters would be booed, yeah, but his character would be the kind of thing ROH stood against, the classic WWE/WCW gimmick. It'd work. Masters tends to work quite well with smaller guys than him, like Super Crazy. WWE seemed to make a habit of making him fight guys that were bigger than him, which kind of killed his gimmick, anyway.

They should have Dempsey go away for a month.
Then Masters should come in being called "Bobby Dempsey" by sweet & sour.
Tank could Claim he did that to the Flabby Dempsey.

I'd get a kick out of seeing Masters in ROH, but I have a hunch the fans would eat him alive. To the point that he couldn't even play off of it as a slimy, WWE heel. He'd just be hated because they hate him.
Plus, I don't see Gabe even giving him a shot.
But I could be wrong...

Hired Jeff Hardy when it was pretty damn well known he was on something.

Also, Masters would be someone Sweeney could hire to replace Claudio.

I really dont think MAsters in roh is a good idea.
Sure he would get crazy heat but what would be the payoff. Masters cant perform as well as most of the roh roster, and I doubt people will pay money and wait for dvd orders just to see masters get beat in a fake fight.

Well, he wouldn't be the top sell or anything, but he wouldn't kill a card. Couldn't be worse than when they brought in ICP. The most likely thing right now is Masters doing independants or going to Japan. They're good about booking big men, and it'll help him learn his craft further.

IMO there are a lot of big men that would fit in roh far better than Masters. I always saw roh as a promotion that didn't need to hire wwe castoffs. Masters isn't some guy who got stuck with a crappy gimmick and never got a push. I would much rather have Matt Morgan in roh. Have Masters go to Japan, improve his craft, get off whatever he is on and return to wwe. Not to a promotion like roh where he simply does not fit. Just my opinion.

I would love to see this just to see those "smart" ROHbots get all riled up.

Well, ROH is fine as it is, but a little variety like a kind of guy they've never tried to promote before would be nice to see. Hell, have him work in ROH's wrestling school for a little bit to teach him some holds, if it'd help. Besides, I don't think where you came from in wrestling is all that important. It's where you're going.
