Now by this, I mean, who was your favorite TNA-era NWA World Champion/TNA World Champion? Now, I don't want ANY snarky comments on the status of the championship (whether or not it's a World Title or not), I just want to know.
For me, it's Jeff Jarrett. The reason for this is simple. During his run, I couldn't stand him. You keep tuning in, HOPING he's going to lose the belt, and when he gains it back, he seems to attract heat. That was apparent from the start of his last two runs, where he won the belt from Rhino, and then won it at the King of the Mountain match in 2006. Hate him or love him, you have to admit that he plays his role of heel well. While I don't think that he's main event worthy, he had all the qualities of a good heel champion.

I'll vote Raven because I really liked how they did the whole "comeback" thing with him where he was clearly past his prime, but through determination he came back and won the title for one more (albeit short) title run. I am not swerved by much in wrestling, but when Raven won the title in that match I legitimately said to myself "Wow, I did not see that happening."

Cage's heel reign as champ is probably my favourite. I haven't seen a lot of early TNA.

i really enjoy kurt's run and i think he makes a great champion, however with christian cage on the list there is only one real answer. he is my champion. i would much rather see him get the belt again then anybody else in the company.

It can only be Raven. It was the most emotional title win TNA have had by a country mile and actually inspired me to don Raven like clothes and go out partying (what can I say I'm a hopeless mark)
While Cage was a great heel champ and Jarrett was damn good at getting heat, the fans went nuts for Raven's brief reign and more importantly his win that was so cruelly cut short off. It was TNA's version of the Terry Funk title win in 1997. The old guy, past his prime gets the belt against all the odds. It was fantastic.

I'll go AJ, because even though his runs as champion weren't great, he was exactly who they should be pushing... the thing that makes their company different. Not some guy people associated with another company, but one of their own.

Not some guy people associated with another company, but one of their own. they were right to put the belt on kurt. he is still great in the ring, has great mic skills, and is a bigger name than a.j. styles. what is wrong with kurt besides the fact that he worked in the wwe?

To tell you the truth, alot of these wrestlers started out in WWE or WCW.
As a matter of fact, the only TNA-bred wrestler on that list is Abyss, and his run was horrible, sadly.

To tell you the truth, alot of these wrestlers started out in WWE or WCW. That's because TNA is a five year old company and WWE had a monopoly on wrestling on national tv for years. Honestly, who really thinks of AJ Styles as a former WCW wrestler? To me he is more of a TNA bred wrestler than Abyss since AJ's been there since day one.

I liked Jarrett's run, with AJ's heel run in 03 as a close second.

Kurt Angle. Although winning the title(s) so quickly and at once annoyed me. He is by far the most entertaining character to hold the World Title. His performance at Bound For Glory was amazing. Only AJ Styles matches him in wrestling skill. In fact I actually enjoy watching AJ more than Kurt. But Kurt plays the part so well.
