 Starting his career working throughout the west coast, Davey really made a name for himself after winning the ECWA Super 8 in 2006. After that he made a name for himself in Ring of Honor starting as generic babyface, to KENTA's Gilligan, and is now in the No Remorse Corps. Like my other weekly (sorta) threads I was wondering what you thought of Mr. Richards. In a wacky sidenote, I used yahoo to look for pictures of Richards. Not only did I find them but images of Terri Runnels and Elton John came up as well. Maybe it's me, but that was amusing. |

I like him, and I think he has a great heel look. I think he needs to shake this "generic Benoit image" though and fast.

Love him. Especially since his heel turn in February. Like his matches, like his personality he has now, and hope he eventually overtakes Roderick as the leader of the NRC should the storyline go that far.

I don't get all the hate around Davey. He's not 'copying Benoit', he's copying the Dynamite Kid (for God sake, he wrestles as "Dynamite Davey Richards"), who Benoit jakked his style off to begin with. It's not like Davey does diving headbutts and crossfaces...
Anywho, I can't see how anyone could dislike him after his "tip-toe sneak attack" at the last show.

I don't get all the hate around Davey. A lot of people say he doesn't have any charisma,I mean what!?. He's great at interacting with the crowd and can get people pissed off at him. I don't know what show it was, but their was a match in PWG between him and Chris Hero and he was getting tons of heat, he played to the crowd perfectly. |

yeah, I don't get the "He has no charisma" argument either. He can work the crowd very well, and every interview of him I've seen since joing the NRC(which, admittedly hasn't been a lot, but still probably 4 or 5) he can deliver good, natural promos(which is great, considering Roderick Strong gives probably the most forced promos on the whole roster)

I saw him wrestle live like, 3 times, and at every show, after the show, he'd come up, help take the ring down, talk to the fans, etc. Really good guy, and a good wrestler at that.

I say he's ok, I rarely skip his matches when I see them (unless they contain Roderick Strong)

He's actually quite good. I've become a fast fan of his, and I tend to look forward to his matches.

At first, I didn't see much in him, until he turned with the No Remorse Corps (and well, when he started winning as well, because for awhile, he just lost all the time). He has a great intensity, and he reminds me a lot of Benoit actually.
