Good to hear he's alright. Though now I'm back to being curious about Hayabusa. Wiki is of little help.

I'm glad that Lince Dorado's injuries weren't as serious as what they could have been. I hope he has a speedy recovery from the concussion and he's able to return to the ring in the near future. Hopefully he comes up with a different finisher than the move that almost put him in a wheelchair or worse tonight.

Jesus, don't let this guy wrestle for awhile. Concussions are NEVER a good thing and recent events can show you why

Hopefully he comes up with a different finisher than the move that almost put him in a wheelchair or worse tonight. Thing is, that's not even his normal finish. His normal finish is a twisting splash off the top that looks insane, but relatively safe, as well, because he's not landing on his neck or head.

It's such a shame. I hope he no longer does the move, it's so freaking dangerous. Too many people get injured off SSPs anyway, and a shooting star senton can only be worse.
It's a real pity that this happened when it did- biggest match of Lince's career cut short, and it effectively turned a great show into a disaster. Get well ASAP Lince, hope you're back to 100% for King of Trios.

He should definitely pull the move from his repertoire. Hopefully, he doesn't get shellshocked with high flying moves from this.
I'm glad Lince isn't gravely hurt, but he needs to take a few months off to get healthy. Fortunately, Mike is smart enough to not let him or force him into the ring too soon. The lessons from Benoit have certainly taught everyone that concussions are nothing to mess with, especially serious ones like that.
And the real shame of it is that, as T&C put it, this was Lince's big time match, and he couldn't finish it the way he wanted to.

I'm glad that CHIKARA has somebody like Mike Quackenbush running the company because he's an experienced wrestler who knows how to deal with injuries. He seems smart enough to know when an injured wrestler is truely ready to return.

You have to give the kudos to CHIKARA for ending the event like they did.
I respect Quack and CHIKARA so much because of this.
I've heard Lince is alright so I hope for a speedy recovery.

People need to stop using shooting star anything with any sort of regularity. It's probably one of the industry's easiest moves to screw up because you're trying to flip backwards while moving forwards and still land on your stomach.

I've talked about it before about how some indy stars should tone down their style at times to save their career, and it's true.
How long has Lince Dorado been wrestling? 1 year? 2 years? 3 years at the most? And already he's almost killed himself. Guys need to be more careful in the ring, and some guys do so many crazy things, and are so green when doing these things that they substancially increase the risk of getting hurt. These guys do these things because if they didn't, they would get booed and nobody would care to be honest, and this is another example of this.
Lince has a lot of potential, and I think it would be a shame to see it end so soon. I'm glad he's doing ok, and props to Quackenbush for ending the show and everything.

He's one of the most in demand indy wrestlers on the scene, and I doubt he's ever done a flip in his life. I have no problem with flips, but they're not 100% necessary.

True, although I think Dorado is legit a Mexican immigrant, I'm not 100% sure. But the thing is, you don't have to constantly invent new, more dangerous flips when the basic SSP is dangerous and impressive enough.

And when he has a perfectly good Lionsault as well as his crazy-looking-but-safe whirligig splash. I could also buy that flying spike DDT he did a while back as a finisher. Dorado is very entertaining without the shooting star-style flips. He reminds me of a young Rey Mysterio, and I mean that in every positive way possible. He is honestly a very talented luchador, and I really hope he cuts out the career risking moves like the SSS in future. He's only what, 21? 22? So much potential.

He's a great old school heel and a great talker thus he got himself noticed. Also Dorado is half Puerto Rican I believe.

New Chikara Auctions to help out with Lince Dorado's medical bills, per the Dragon Dragon(And soon to be the official Chikara) Myspace pages: Hey Gang, Thanks for all the support you've sent our way, and to Lince, since Sunday's "Chapter 11" event. Some of you have even gone so far as to offer donations to help defray some of his medical expenses, which is incredibly generous and flat-out kind. But we here at CHIKARA feel donations are for non-profit groups, and the idea of fans giving us something and not getting something in return is a little cheesy. So, we've come up with some ways you can still lend a hand, because the proceeds of these two auctions below, as well as from the advanced release of the 2008 Lince Dorado trading card, will go right to our recovering Golden Lynx. The links to these exclusive, 7-day auctions, are: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330191290678cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330191292971...and if you've only got a few bucks to spend, drop by our online store, and snap up the as-yet unreleased Lince Dorado card, which is number 17 in the continuing series of rockin' cool CHIKARA cards. (We'll be mailing them out starting next week!) It features the usual hoo-ha on the back, and the front sports a really cool snapshot by none other than Lyle Williams! Ain't he the best? Last but not least, we feel terribly about how we closed out Season 6. So, we're pleased to announce that we are feverishly working with our pals at Penn State University to finalize one more 2007 card, and this, as thanks to our loyal pals in the CHIKArmy, will be free admission to everyone and everything that shows up. Keep your eyes on www.chikarapro.com for the skinny on that shindig!
