SWEET JESUS.
Um...yeah...if they didn't need a new ladder before, they do now that it's broken in half.

DAMN! They cut put before the AMAZING promo.
I knew they would, but I was under the understanding that they cut out ALL of the AOTS stuff at the end. Meaning no Necro attack. When I saw that, I had hope.
But no. Damn you hope! DAMN YOU!

Man, that was an amazing PPV.
Everything was amazing. The in-ring product was superb. The storylines are progressing amazingly. And maybe most importantly, the production is getting up there. Not WWE or even TNA quality yet, but its not a distant third like was just earlier the year. The on-screen graphics really added a lot.
And for anyone who was upset about the tag team match was last, go and watch it, and tell me how on earth it couldn't have been. That wasn't just a ladder match. It was a ladder war!
The PPV started out kinda chaotic for me. Just seconds before the PPV started, my VCR ruined the tape I was going to record it on. So that means I have to buy it again Sunday. That irks me a little(but I think my mom is paying for it). I mean, $20 is still cheap, but I still don't like paying for something twice when I really don't think I should have to. So I was mad for about the first half-hour.
The only problem with the PPVs is they are getting better each time, and its going to be a huge letdown when(if) one fails to deliver.

The first ROH PPV I've managed to catch not on DVD so here are some thoughts. Just in case I need this
SPOILERS BELOW MATEY!
-Fourway was AWESOME. I loved all the two counts at the end.
-Cross vs Romero was a little short
-Why did TNA decide it was a good idea to let Aries walk away again?
- Choo Choo is starting to grow on me a little.
- I didn't care for Morishima vs Danielson.
- HOLY S*** are my only thoughts on the main event. The fact that match didn't retire anybody involved is crazy.

-Chris Hero and Sweet n' Sour Inc.'s shenanigans are cheeky and fun.
-Best of Three was cool.
-Liked how they used "Gimme Back My Bullets" for the video packages. The name for the PPV however, could be more creative.
-Loved how they showed the formation of the Hangmen 3.

I thought the promo wasn't all that amazing, but to each his own I guess as I never was a huge fan of Jacobs and don't like the AOTF stable all that much.

Wow! Watched it last night and it was absolutely insane.
For production, it think the camera shot and other things are better, but I could have done without the graphics that looked like they were made by a 13-year-old using basic Microsoft Word Art. (Hint: If the average computer user can make the same text as you. Get a bit more advanced). I liked the graphics on Respect Is Earned so much better.
But now to the important things....the show. (SPOILERS possibly)
The Chicago venue is awesome, and looks better on PPV than the Manhattan Center IMO.
The Four Corner Survival was a good match. It started slow, but then built upto an excellent creshendo. The near falls were very well done.
Yes, The Best Wrestler in the World is a momma's boy (nothing wrong with that). I loved "Then my mom took be to the optimologist", in fact, I might put that in my signature. Then, "his dad got up to make him a tuna sandwich". I know what American Dragon's favorite food is!!! Great promo all around.
Aside from the complete one-sidedness of the feud, the Resilience and the No Remorse Corps have had some excellent matches. Erick Stevens is really becoming one of my favorites. However, I'm not too big on Matt Cross. Richards, Aries, Strong...amazing as always.
Takeshi Morishima vs. Bryan Danielson was a great match. Some serious heel heat was on Morishima at the end. I'm so glad to hear that this guy is coming back to ROH in 2008. I don't remember exact specifics from the match (I was thinking about the Ladder War coming up), so I definately look forward to taking a better look at this one when I get the DVD.
Finally, the Ladder War. The craziest match I've ever seen. I'm not a big hardcore wrestling fan, but this definately wasn't "hardcore". I draw a distinct line between "hardcore weapons match" and "fast-paced, intense weapons match" and that's what this was. The double toss, package piledriver, and Jay Driller though the ladders were absolutely crazy. I don't know how these guys do it. This could be, kneejerk reaction here, my match of the year for 2007.
Then, the Age of the Fall. Tyler Black, Jimmy Jacobs, and Lacey...incredible. Necro Butcher...not so incredible. I just can't find anything I like about this guy. He definately doesn't fit into the AotF IMO. The way they started to hang Jay was cool though, and I can't wait to see Jimmy's promo on DVD.

Man Up Delivered.
I thought it was way better than Driven. They played Gimmie Back my Bullets a bit too much, but I guess since it was all about the Brisoces it made sense. The aotf segemtn went way better than I expected. The roh payper views keep getting better and better. I watched Driven with my dad and he didnt really care for it. He seemed to really like this one though, and he is a big wwe fan.

I just ordered a replay. I've been trying to hold off until my Black Friday order gets here cuz I wanna see Danielson-Morishima I before II, but I'm home alone tonight with nothing to do so I broke down. It'll be bittersweet to watch seeing as I was supposed to see it live, but oh well. 86 minutes until showtime

I imagine that the ladder match came out better on TV anyways. I'm going to rewatch is soon since I recorded it.

Since I'll be quoting this, I guess Spoilers(how long do we have to say spoilers?) But now to the important things....the show. (SPOILERS possibly) The Frontier Field House is a great venue. On of my favorites, and along with the Murphy Rec. Center, is one of the two long-time venues, and by far the "Capital" of ROH's midwest expansion I loved that promo as well, because unlike most wrestling promo's, it seemed very realistic(well, because it was). Danielson isn't one of the guys like Rock or Jericho who will be making the tops of people's "best mic workers list" but Danielson is very good on the mic. Today while I took my SATs I was thinking that in two years if Stevens isn't either 1)working for WWE(or one of their devleopmental camps) 2)working for TNA 3)One of the top indy guys I will be very suprised. In a very short time he went from getting a "who cares?" reaction to being one of the more over babyfaces. Not as easy feat to accomplish since there are a lot of longtime ROH guys still around. Yeah, when I have to re-buy this mofo tomorrow, I will definatley need to pay attention to it. But when morishima pulled off AmDrag's eye-patch, I actually got completely lost in the moment, which is hard for a lot of us cynics to still be able to do. Pretty much my thoughts, too. And I'm glad ROH didn't just call this a ladder "match", because it went far beyond a match. It was the closest thing you'll ever see to real life warfare inside(and outside technically) a wrestling ring. Can't agree with the necro assesment. I like the guy. As far as deathmatch guys go, he's a helluva worker. And he adds a much needed dose of bad-assery to AoTF. I mean, Jimmy's a bad-ass as well, but the Briscoes have been booked as pretty much the toughest guys in ROH. Necro helps make things not look so one-sided. And I kinda like that he doesn't fit. He is the misfit member of a misfit stable. But ROH did pick the perfect time to end the show. For any new/casual fan of ROH who hadn't watched the video wire, they must be saying "what the hell just happened?"(in a good way). My MVPs are probably the same for the most part as anyone elses. I have 6(because its impossible to narrow it down any further) -All 4 men in the main-event: I found a new respect for The Briscoes, and I hope Steen and Generico are around to stay. They are awesome. -Danielson: A great promo, and an even better match. And like I already said, he made me feel like a mark again. If these PPVs don't have WWE and TNA pounding down his door once his contract ends, then nothing ever will. -Erik Stevens: Kinda a dark horse, or unsung hero. The leaps and bounds he's made since he entered the company this year. I can't wait until he comes back next year. So, due to taping issues, I have to purchase the PPV a second time tomorrow. But really, I'm not too upset anymore.
