I swear with people bringing up Benoit sometimes it actually seems like people want something bad to happen just so they can bust out a new sig and say I hate this year! Yeah, you would be wrong. Anyhow, if it was food poisoning, and not him just no-showing, then they covered it well, and it could lead to a more interesting storyline down the road. Honestly, I hope it was food poisoning, as I'd hate to see Scott screw up at this point.

Far as Rhino goes, if it's a neck thing or a personal issue. With Hall...dude, already? Even Waltman thinks you should've made it to one PPV, and that says something. I guess the big dialogue now is the worked shoot angle, and where it leads? This SCREAMS Russo, and to those who ask, "why does it always have to be his fault" the answer is a simple one. THe last time an angle exactly like this was done, with young guys rising up to "take their spot" and declare that they've had all they can stands and they can't stands no omre, Russo did it. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and smells like a duck, than chances are, it's gonna book something on a f***ing pole, it's just that simple. Permission to rip that duck line off shamelessly in the near future?

If he has fallen off the wagon again, it'll be upsetting.

A promoter's worst nightmare is canceling or changing an advertised match because an advertised wrestler no shows; especially when its the main event. Theres no way this is a swerve.

I also think that Hall not being there was for real. I think that Joe was told to cut a promo but he did say things that weren't scripted and he really made it work for him. I'm neutral on Eric Young being the guy that they brought out. I like Eric and he is very over with the Impact Zone crowd. But, I understand the idea of bringing out a bigger name to fill that spot also. I am sure that TNA had to make the decision on the fly during the PPV since everything else was planned out in advance and this changed everything that they were planning.

TNA got what they deserved with this whole situation. They should have learned from Bound For Glory 2005, where Kevin Nash no-showed the event where he was scheduled to face Jeff Jarrett in the main event. The Outsiders are old & washed up. Stop trying to bring them back!

That's such a tired excuse, he might as well have said he was hospitalized for exhaustion. He was only going to be working a six man tag, they were probably only going to have him do about as much as Savage did in his six man match at Turning Point 2 years ago.
Even if he was REALLY sick he could have showed up to do some kind of angle where he gets taken out before the main event backstage.

By the looks of it Hall did legit no show, and TNA are very unhappy with him. Therefore the entire main event angle was a patch up job, probably made just before the PPV began or indeed during it. I think EY was put in because they knew he could do a very good job and he's popular with the fans in the arena. I don't see how TNA could really do anything differently.

Unless the man was legitimately hospitalized and unable to reach a cell phone, TNA should fire Hall. And anyone who recommended him (probably Nash) should be on VERY thin ice.

WOW. Shoot or not that promo kicked ass. If this leads to the guys who should be main eventing and getting what they deserve I am all for it.

Eh it was a if it was real, and he didn't know if he could go or not. Good for him not trying to risk it by just wrestling.
good for TNA for making a storyline from a different storyline.
And well yeah.
From that link, good god Joe seemed like such a crybaby asswhipe.
If I couldn't have any less respect for him there it goes. I know smarks will all be "Genius" he was just doing what was right for him in a company that always did wrong by him. blah blah blah
I think Nash has a right to be upset with Joe, Upset with Hall, and Upset with TNA in general.
I want to see a Nash rebuttal on Thursday

Can someone post the text of the article, my browser shuts down everytime I try to read the article. Scott Hall's last voice contact with anyone was Sunday morning. As the afternoon went on, and he didn't show up on time and wasn't answering his phone, concern grew he was going to no-show. There was hope even during the show that he'd finally make it to the building. Then he sent a text message or voice mail saying he had food poisoning and couldn't make it. -Kevin Nash was disappointed and felt let down by Hall no-showing. -Samoa Joe was asked to go to the ring, cut a promo on Hall to try to take the heat off of the company for a major star no-showing, and then shift to putting over the guys on the roster and finally introduce Eric Young as the replacement. Joe's promo went more than five minutes longer than planned and incorporated a lot more content, especially that aimed at Nash, than was planned. -When Joe leaned over the top rope and asked someone off camera if they were mad, then shrugged and said, "Go ahead and fire me, I don't care," he was looking at TNA President Dixie Carter. She was legitimately upset with him "going into business for himself" and taking so long. Nash was legitimately upset that Joe turned Hall's no-show into a rant against him. (What's ironic is that Nash is one of the key people who pushed hard for an extended period of time to get TNA management to take interest in signing Joe when he was in ROH; Nash was a big fan of Joe's ROH matches he saw on DVD.) -After the match, Nash returned to the back right away and waited for Joe. When Joe returned to the back, Nash confronted him and a heated verbal exchange with some shoving ensued. Joe backed down and avoided the situation escalating. -At an all-talent meeting today, Terry Taylor brought everyone's contract with him. Dixie Carter said that if anyone was upset and unhappy with their job in TNA, they would be willing to void their contract on the spot. Senshi took them up on the offer. (Senshi also happened to be one of the people who grabbed a brief case in the "Feast or Fire" match.) -Joe was the first wrestler to speak at the meeting. He gave an emotional apology for going overboard the night before and said he hoped his apology would be accepted. -Booker T and Kurt Angle gave pep-talks about staying positive and keeping things moving in the right direction

Why shouldn't Joe be upset if Hall decided to just ditch things at the last minute? Unreliable people don't deserve opportunities, regardless of their talent (and Hall is talented).

Something about this whole situation sounds vaguely familiar.
seriously I hope Nash, HHH, HBK, and X-pac have hall on speed dial.

Interesting read.
Seconded.
As someone mentioned before, this has eerie parallels between from eight years ago when Raven suddenly walked out of WCW.
I feel like making a comment on this, but I have yet to see the incident myself.

I don't think he was in the wrong being mad. He just went too long on a tangent and ended up pissing off some people he shouldn't have pissed off, like Nash, who didn't really do anything wrong.

There was clearly a point were Joe's own frustrations took over. Also, it wasn't just aimed at Nash. If anything, the speech was aimed at Kurt Angle. Look at the way Joe kept on looking at Angle throughout.

I call total smark bait on that report. I just watched the promo and it reaked of a worked shoot.
