What are some matches that changed your opinions on wrestlers, either making you think a bad wrestler was actually good, or vice-versa. Please don't say any matches from like 3 weeks ago changing your opinion on Abdullah the Butcher or something. Try and keep these matches form the wrestlers' primes.
Rocky Romero vs. Naomichi Marifuji-ROH: Respect is Earned.
I didn't hate either of these guys going into it. Actually, I just had ZERO opinion on them either way. But it was this match at this match alone that made me fans of both men. A nice little gem of a match that I think is often overlooked.
Delirious' whole series of matches with Bryan Danielson. Huge AmDrag fan, but really didn't see Delirous as anything other than comedy fodder. IT was these matches that really changed my opinion, and made me realize that he is actually pretty damn accomplished in the ring.

Kaz and Christian's ladder match from whatever PPV that was. I was "meh" on Kaz until that match.

oh. And the whole Manhattan Mayhem(the first one) for Lowki.
Before, I had only seen early-early ROH(some shows from 02 and 03), so I was like "Eh, he's good, but so is about half the roster". After that show, he officially became my 2nd favorite on my roster.
Also, that whole feud really caused me to like Jay Lethal as well.

Rocky Romero vs. Claudio Castagnoli. Romero had shown flashes of greatness as Black Tiger, but this match really sold me on Romero. He managed to wrestle as a believably threatening heel despite being so much smaller than the babyface, all while fluidly mixing lucha libre and MMA elements in a unique and cohesive style.

I didn't care for Roderick Strong at all until This Means War, when he first fought Bryan Danielson in ROH. He went from meh backbreaker guy to a great babyface fighting the lying, cheating Danielson. It was a huge eye opener and have been a fan since, though I think he's a better face than heel

John Cena vs. Umaga from Royal Rumble changed my opinion of both of them, they were awesome.

Carlito's Ladder Match on Raw. I had pretty much given up on him. It always seemed like he just went through the motions in his matches, and didnt give a crap. Mondays match with Hardy was different. It was like he cared again, and you could tell. I was very impressed and it's made me have a turnabout when it comes to Carlito. I truly hope he keeps it up because he's got the potential to be great.

Steve Corino vs. Dusty Rhodes, the bullrope match. Before that, Corino just pissed me off. X-Pac heat. Then, the build-up to the match and the match itself totally turned me around on him.
Jed Shaffer ~I'm gonna miss him.

Honestly, it's a little embarassing.
I wasn't that huge on RVD back in the old days, until I saw him have to defend the ECW Tag Titles against both of the Dudleys. Oh my god, what heart shown by RVD. I still remember that as the defining moment of my wrestling fandom, when the intelligence began to integrate with the mark in me. A weird thing, I can like a heel? Wow. It was all down hill for kayfabe with me, and I still loved every second of it.

batista vs undertaker at wrestlemania. before this, batista was the most boring persona on earth, and iwould've killed to get the belt off him. then he put on the performance of a lifetime in the biggest match of his career, and i was sold thatt he guy had something special.

Brock v Taker HIAC. Never a fan of Brock but that match made me think he might be pretty good. Of course then he went and screwed it up.

Necro butcher - samoa joe cant remember the name of the event but it was the one held in (i think) the ecw arena, that completly changed my opinion on butcher
james storm - chris harris street fight from earlier this year, they both put soo much into it. Before this match and including the blindfold cage match, i couldnt give a toss about either. Didnt even care by the start of this match, but they won me and my mate over in the end.
not a match as such, but i never liked Aj styles until they turned him heel end of last year. Even before he became what he is now. Coming out dressed as raven, faking what looked like a legit injury, he went thru a phase of doing amazing heel stunts

Manabu Nakanishi & Giant Bernard vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Black Strong Machine - This match proved to methat Giant Bernard was more than a stiff with a hairy back and piercings.
Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley (Hard Justice 2006) - Up until this match (and the feud between Sabin and Paparazzi Productions), I hated Sabin. His gimmick at the time, bland hero of the X Division, just didn't do it for me. It was here that he (finally) started showing some attitude.
LAX vs. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels feud (Between Hard Justice 2006 and No Surrender 2006) - Once upon a time I loathed Konnan. I wasn't familiar with his work in WCW and Mexico at the time, so as far as I was concerned, he was just that annoying fat guy who threw his shoes and was looking for his dogs. Even when LAX hit, I wasn't impressed. Honestly, it was going to take about a month and a half of the best promos that I had ever heard to get him over with me. Six weeks later...

Jed Shaffer ~I'm gonna miss him. Maybe it's because I missed that match, that my opinion of Corino never changed. It seemed like overnight, just about that time, he went from being considered 'nothing special' to being so great, and I never got why. Now I might actually know what I missed that changed everyone else's mind.

I think the total time on the match was 13 minutes and some odd seconds (and it was the main event), but find me someone who was disappointed by that match, I don't think you can

Lashley vs Benoit, I found out the dude could actually wrestle. I wasnt to keen on Homicide but I really liked him in lax especially the cage match with Stlyes and Daniels.

Seek out his 2000 match with Jerry Lynn. Effing SICK match. Corino bleeds so much, Lynn is able to write "DIE" in blood on Corino's chest. Jed Shaffer ~Plus, in the build-up to Corino/Dusty, Corino accused Dusty of cutting the brake lines on Magnum TA's car. That was just AWESOME.

LAX vs. PhemenAngels
I was on the fence about Styles and his flip happy style, until these series of matches.
Here his moves were more profound because it lead to hot tags/desperation tags/great pin breaking
I just think AJ hits his stride in tag matches/fatal fourways/triple threats than in singles matches.
