I think Perry Saturn is the one for me because it was a selfless act that in no way did anything for himself. He stopped a woman from being raped, and somehow, didn't feel two or three bullets in the neck because he was more concerned about this woman's well being. I can't believe TNA didn't hire him back after this, and played him up as the man that even a bullet couldn't take down. That I agree with, as it was a real life setting, not a performance that could be stopped to avoid injury. I think it's crazy that he's not in either WWE or TNA right now as well.

Underrated: Hardcore Holly breaking his arm in a match, and then that HUGE gash in his back last year.

What about when Rick Rude injured his back taking a tope from Sting in Japan? After injuring it, he still went on with the match.

Still, outta that group of four wrestlers WWE brought in from WCW back when, they missed the boat most with Saturn, I think he coulda been much bigger.

Assuming all the crap will come my way I still think Triple H tearing his quad and finishing the match, and receiving the Walls Of Jericho is a damn double tough

That is tough. Despite what I said earlier about stupidity, MOST of these are tough, I just think when it comes to like your neck, you should err on the side of caution.

Everyone here has already mentioned him,but Perry Saturn DEFINITELY takes the cake, which I would have to say was one of the most extraordinary acts of heroism I've heard from a wrestler.
I'm shocked nobody capitalized on this story when they had the chance.

At IWA-MS' No Blood, No Guts, No Glory '02, Mad Man Pondo put the Necro Butcher through a light tube log cabin which almost sliced Necro's arm off. I don't remember who won, but Necro finished the match and the footage SMV got of his arm is just sick (like so gross you want to throw up sick). I think this is floating around youtube somewhere, definately not for the faint of heart and nsfw. Yes, but the bump that caused that gash literally occurred at the end of the match. In other words, Pondo nailed Necro in a stupidly dangerous spot, Necro sustained the wound, and Pondo pinned him immediately thereafter. I'm not denying that the damage was severe, or that Necro isn't tough. All's I'm saying is that the outcome of that match wouldn't have changed much if anyone else had been in Necro's position, because the match wasn't supposed to go any further than that stupidly dangerous spot. As I've said before, look up the bump that "Sick" Nick Mondo took at Tournament of Death 2. He completely missed the tables that were supposed to break his fall, and landed flat on concrete. How he survived that, let alone went on to compete in - and win - that night's final round is a textbook definition of a miracle. Wow, just looked it up on youtube.. he should be dead

Wow, I never heard of that Perry Saturn story before. O__O Sorry Sasaki, I think THIS is even tougher, not to mention the reason why he took the bullets. I also remember reading something about Bam Bam Bigelow going through fire to save three children' s life. He got second degree burns on 40 % of his body. He didn' t care about his own safety as long as it could save other people and in the end, everyone got saved. I love stories that end well like that.

I gotta go with Saturn. If my recollection of the story is correct. Not only did he get shot twice in the neck, he didn't even know it until nearly a week later when he went to the doctor because his neck was bothering him (he had thought it was from a punch).

Correct. Lets not forget he once cracked hsi skull wide open on an Asai moonsault in ECW and finished the match with no meidcal treatment till afterwards. Saturn is the ultra badass.

Did we really make it to Page Three without mentioning Sabu?
"Hey, I ripped my arm open on barbed wire...Fonzie, pass the tape"
"Hey, I broke my jaw on a table...Fonzie, pass the tape"
"Hey, I broke my ribs on the steel guard-rail...Mick, pass the beer bottle"

That just goes to show you how permanently stigmatizing being associated with MOPPY was for a man as kind, heroic, muscular, and athletically gifted as Perry Saturn.

Alas the Bam Bam Bigelow story was a work. The Saturn story on the other hand was both true (I nearly said "a shoot"- how appropriate) and badass.
