Wow, what an incredibly hard fall. I don't think there's a sadder case of self-destruction then that. I really feel sorry for him.

You know, oddly, I wouldn't be opposed to Luger being in the Hall of Fame... I think it would be appropriate. 20+ year career, several World Title reigns in WCW/NWA. His little spoiling of Wrestlemania might hamper that, but Vince has overlooked more for less.... And this is where the tragedy of the modern day wrestling business plays in. When the stars of the 60's & 70's retired, they didn't have to look far for a job. Folks like Mr. Fuji, Jimmy Valiant, and even Harley Race all had jobs waiting for them as managers. Mouthpieces for the good wrestlers who just couldn't work the stick. These days, managers don't exist, mainly because the promoters want to free up more room on the payroll for broads with fake cans... meh. You can't tell me that Bobby Heenan, Jim Cornette, and even the Gangster of Style, Slick weren't some of the best things about wrestling ever, because it's just not true. They added a dynamic to the business and let more wrestling occur in the ring, because more talented folk could get airtime on a regular basis, even though their interview skills were that of a dried up mule's. We see it every so often, like when Heymen brought Lesnar into the fold, and James Mitchell still has a job (who is dynamite on the stick). But it needs to be more prevalent. Maybe Lex could get better and manage a stable. Don't deny it, you KNOW you want more Luger promos. (Or heck, maybe you DON'T KNOW) We know Lex doesn't.

It's good to know that he's gotten some movement back. I still can't understand how he managed to end up in the state he's in, though... And "a mild stroke like what Kevin Nash had" - when did Nash have a stroke? I don't remember ever hearing about it. I could be wrong, but I think it was before Bound For Glory in 2005 where he was supposed to face Jarrett at the PPV, but couldn't make it to the show. Or was he meaning the "mild heart attack" Nash had in 1997, when he found out he was jobbing to the Giant at Starrcade. Turned out it was just some bad mahi-mahi or something. Yeah, I understand, Big Kev. We wish Lex the best, even if we do pick on his now-infamous interview. I think that built a resurgence in his popularity - it showed Lex is a human being. I'm sure he laughed it off.
