2: We're Experiencing Technical Difficulties (117 pts.) Maybe it was a rainstorm; it happened one year at In Your House; Beware of Dog. Or perhaps there was a fire in the building - that happened to WWE AND TNA in the last year. It could have been a car crashing into the arena, just like John Cena allegedly did at Wrestlemania 23. Or it could have just been someone tripping over a wire and pulling a plug, just like Asya reportedly did at the end of one Nitro a decade ago. Whatever it was, there were major problems happening in the production truck one Monday night, and Kevin Dunn and crew did what they had to. And that was flash a Technical Difficulties message featuring, who else but Triple H, onto the TV screen. Whoo boy, here we go again. There was no way Wrestlecrappers could pass up the opportunity to take that screen, slap it onto their computer and tweak it using -all together now - PHOTOSHOP!! All of a sudden, wrestlers and anything associated with them were added to the message, asking people to stand by. We're experiencing a tight shirt, please stand by. We're experiencing a mid-life crisis, please stand by. We've lost our smile, please stand by. We're experiencing unnecessary pushes, please stand by. (courtesy of crapper Mr. Mosher). We're experiencing a boner, please stand by. Don't think this is funny? Go look at crapper bigjimmy's sig for evidence of this brilliance. All this came out of an average episode of Raw. Imagine what would happen next year if a hurricane hit Miami during Wrestlemania 24. Crappers would implode!!! This is by far my favorite Trend ever. Nothing got as big of a guffaw out of me than TD screens did. I really wish we had archived all of those before the board exploded.

This thread is the greatest night in the history of our sport, but has THE MIDTH been mentioned at all?

And after almost 100 fads, trends and legends, it is now time to announce the numba one candidate, as voted by you crappers. Forum members, your number one fad, trend and legend: 1: The Saga of Lex Luger (180 pts.) You almost have to feel sorry for Lawrence Phol. Throughout his wrestling career, he was labeled as overrated and blamed for constantly choking whenever given the opportunity to be the top star. He was the original posterboy for the failed WBF project, he's mocked for a countout win against Yokozuna at Summerslam '93, he's blackballed from WWE for jumping to WCW in 1995, Eric Bishoff has admitted that he was never fond of him and only hired Luger as a favor to Sting, and, unfortunately, his girlfriend and the greatest wrestling diva of all time, Elizabeth, died from a drug overdose inside his home. And as if that wasn't enough, thanks to an interview-gone-wrong, now we're all laughing at him. Don't think so? Just look here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHTj7qfnTakSo for the record, during Luger's CSWF promo building up a match with Ron Killings, he: - Stuttered when trying to say "despicable." - Totally forgot his bosses name, only remembering it was Billy-something. - Didn't even know the name of the event he was wrestling at. - Was unsure if Billy could afford to pay him - actually, he downright didn't knoooowwwww. - Got stuck in his own shirt. - Became pissed. - Couldn't open the door. - Got laughed at by some guy dressed like a pimp. Actually, as said earlier, he was laughed at by everyone. That video circulated around the net and once crappers got their hands on it, there was no end to the Luger mockery. People were constantly saying "I don't knooowww" in response to statements, while "Billy" became a household name. And, of course, Luger's phase was photoshopped - yes, photoshopped - onto a many images with some random question attached. Luger's response in all these images? "I don't knooooowwwww." But don't feel too sorry for Luger. As a matter of fact, he's well aware of the video's reputation and actually seems to be a good sport about it. Why, here he is posing for a picture with fellow Wrestlecrap alumni KongaDave of "It's still real to me, dammit" fame. Lugermania ran wild through the Wrestlecrap forums for no less than a year. While not as common as it was at its peak, aspects of the video still pop up occasionally in conversations throughout the board. And with so many screw-ups coming out of the video, there was never a shortage of usage amongst crappers. And, thus, that is why the Lex Luger experience is your number one fad, trend or legend on this Wrestlecrap countdown. Will there ever be something that will overshadow this gem? I don't knoooooowwwwwwww!

I felt items 60-50 were particularly interesting in their placement. They all more or less stood out, but just missed making the top 50. Hence, they each earned their own individual photos.
Looking back through your comments, I would say the top fads or trends not to make the countdown were the "posse" threads, caption threads, funny pic threads, QFT and Boo-urns. Maybe next time.
Photoshop certainly played a role in all this, as you may have noticed with me getting more sarcastic with each mention. And let me also apologize to anyone who didn't receive proper credit for either starting a thread or creating a photoshopped image that I used. Particularly, I think I overlooked NotTomBosley moreso than anyone else. Sorry, dude.
I had a lot of fun putting this countdown together. And while I won't pretend this was the greatest countdown to ever appear in these threads, I will point out that it looked like some of you were more into this than the average videogame or hot girl countdown (no offense, Rican). The only explanation I could come up with was that just about everything on this countdown wasn't a result of some videogame company or girl who happens to look good, but of all of your love of wrestling and sense of humor.
Yes, essentially, everything on this countdown was created for crappers by crappers. We just needed a few mishaps in professional wrestling to get things going.

I feel so honored that the fad I started ended up being the greatest WC fad ever. There was no way it couldn't be #1. It lasted well over a year and spawned multiple enormous threads. And it was contagious throughout the entire board. Hell, it even got mentioned on ESPN.com.
