Man... when I met one of my best friends for the first time back in third grade, we were talking one day about TV shows and started talking about David the Gnome. I mentioned how every day I'd be watching Nick and when David the Gnome came on, my gram would come in to watch it, only to fall asleep during it. Turns out, the same thing happened to him.

No gnome has ever, nor will they ever, be better than me. That goes for any and all mythological creatures.

This show was great, from what I remember. When he died, he became a tree.
Anyone remember Puzzle Place? I'm not sure if that was national, or a local thing. Same goes for Groundling's Marsh.
I'm surprised to see another person knows what Eureka's Castle was. What about Whimsy's House?
Then there's the whole phase I hit when I turned six and discovered Power Rangers. There were the other ones I watched, too: VR Troopers Big Bad Beetle Borgs Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad

David the Gnome had one of the saddest final episodes in childrens television history. David just decides he's going to die, goes across the mountains with his wife, they do their little nose kiss and turn into a tree as the FOX CRIES.
And yes it is awesome.
